@@Rex-rg3ce I truly believe it was genuine and not faked. Both this and "The Body" The entertaining is seeing how people react differently to the same thing. It is both a personal and a cultural thing. Now, think about a video of the Red Wedding where the watcher is a pregnant woman. That was a river of tears and understandingly so. After seeing a few time, The Red Wedding lost much of the effect but "The Body" always hit home.

@@painlord2k Yep. People express themselves in different ways, and it is often dictated by our temperament & also our cultural nuances. As for losing effect, I haven't watched Buffy. Vampires & horror stuff is not really my cup of tea so I can't speak on that. But personally speaking I've watched many Red Wedding reactions & the psychology of it that still hits me hard. In fact that might have to do with the novelty wearing off for you. When Cat screams "LET HIM GO" for a sec I unreasonably think it might actually happen. It's partly due to my own subconscious expectation of the hero to MacGyver his way out of the trickiest situation, and partly due to the sheer conviction in her voice. Her high pitched acting in that scene is more reminiscent of a Shakespeare Broadway play than normal TV acting, but it works, probably cause the whole scene feels like a fever dream. And then of course, it doesn't. It's similar to when Arya sees Greywind and everyone automatically go "oh she's gonna free him". But it's GoT. The dog gets Jon Wicked too.

In the show you first hear the full song when Bronn and the Lannister soldiers are singing it right before Blackwater. At the end of that episode you hear the marching tune of that song as Tywin makes his legendary entrance in the throne room. Then a whole season later Cersei tells Margaery about the story of House Reyne. The foreshadowing is there in bits and pieces. But everytime so much else is going on it is designed to make those little bits of info feel trivial. Everyone always focus on Joffrey doing something terrible at the Sansa Tyrion wedding, but that one ends up being a red herring. This is the one. "And now the rains weep o'er his hall, with not a soul to hear". System of a Down's Serj Tankian has a live orchestral performance of Rains of Castamere that you can find on youtube. It's so good. Well, whoever recommended Game of Thrones to you was indeed a sadist, and I don't mean episodes like 3x09, but looking at the greater picture of all 8 seasons combined.

1x6 Viserys : This is the most brutal death I've ever seen. 😆 All of S2 : Robb is such a freakin badass!! Robb, man!! Everytime we get a scene with Robb I just get so impressed. His father would be so proud of him. 😇 3x2 Arya : My family is at Riverrun. You : OMG PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE GONNA MEET. PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE GONNA MEET EACH OTHER!!! 🙃 2x3 Yoren : If they keep killing people like this we're gonna run out of characters, seriously!! 99 problems but that's definitely not 1 😅

Am I the only one whos initial reaction was 'this is f'ing brilliant, no other show would have the balls to do this'? Neds beheading was the major shock for me, after that it was clear we were in for some crazy stuff.

For me, it's about time that something reflects what happens in real life. This episode is the reason why you keep a promise, no matter to cost, cause you'll eventually pay it

Nope, my initial reaction as well, besides "holly fuck, the typical good guys didn't win not only because they made mistakes, but because they are good guys"

I’m sure you aren’t. You’re watching with a level of emotional distance.

Love watching people’s reactions to this episode. Videos like this will attract people to your channel via exposure. That being said - you made it through. Keep going. Sometimes the show, like life, is a difficult ride. But even a rough life has moments.

“All this misfortune that has befallen my family… it’s all because I couldn’t love a motherless child” I’m not going to lie, Robb needed to keep his oath to have loyalty. The one episode where there isn’t any music and it’s just Cats scream and then silence…. Oof

I know..... love is not safe in war. Robb Stark, Tyrion, Jon Snow, even Khal Drogo,..... the casualties of love just keep on piling. And all because Littlefinger started a war because he was unsuccessful in love. Kind of makes us appreciate the present peace we all live in, doesn't it? We are free to love.

Holy crap, I just looked over and saw that apparently you also did Buffy S5E16, "The Body" basically the same time you did this. That must have been quite the experience. I will say what I say to all people I feel sorry for who have gotten to this point... There are moments ahead that are every bit as triumphant and joyous, as this moment was gut wrenching and awful.

The guy who plays Edmure here is so damned evil in "Outlander", that character would have also totally fit into this show.

I still remember screaming "no fucking way!!!" when I originally saw this episode. Truly one of the most shocking moments of TV I've ever seen. To kill off so many main characters was shocking. I don't think any TV show will come close to this episode in terms of shock value.
