Great reaction. Moderator, you may want to warn Sophie in advance that they recast the role of Dario with a different actor in upcoming episodes. Not really a spoiler, but since she had such affection towards this guy, she may need to brace herself. She went through a lot on this one! Cheers.

It sure does matter. If you don't know it's coming at all, like 98% of us who didn't read the books, to those who knew it's coming because you read it in the books. What a silly way to say that, just patting yourself on the back for reading the books. It's just not the same at all. You got 86 likes from book readers, but no one sees the thumbs down anymore. So silly, you think Sophie's reaction before, during & after would be the same, if she already knew what's coming? SMH!

Vampires & horror stuff is not really my cup of tea so I can't speak on that. But personally speaking I've watched many Red Wedding reactions & the psychology of it that still hits me hard. In fact that might have to do with the novelty wearing off for you. When Cat screams "LET HIM GO" for a sec I unreasonably think it might actually happen. It's partly due to my own subconscious expectation of the hero to MacGyver his way out of the trickiest situation, and partly due to the sheer conviction in her voice. Her high pitched acting in that scene is more reminiscent of a Shakespeare Broadway play than normal TV acting, but it works, probably cause the whole scene feels like a fever dream. And then of course, it doesn't. It's similar to when Arya sees Greywind and everyone automatically go "oh she's gonna free him". But it's GoT. The dog gets Jon Wicked too.

In the show you first hear the full song when Bronn and the Lannister soldiers are singing it right before Blackwater. At the end of that episode you hear the marching tune of that song as Tywin makes his legendary entrance in the throne room. Then a whole season later Cersei tells Margaery about the story of House Reyne. The foreshadowing is there in bits and pieces. But everytime so much else is going on it is designed to make those little bits of info feel trivial. Everyone always focus on Joffrey doing something terrible at the Sansa Tyrion wedding, but that one ends up being a red herring. This is the one. "And now the rains weep o'er his hall, with not a soul to hear". System of a Down's Serj Tankian has a live orchestral performance of Rains of Castamere that you can find on youtube. It's so good. @@VOX_Games Yes I know. I think we've all watched the Coldplay Musical skit lol. I was talking about Serj's rendition of Castamere. Which in my opinion is the best rendition. It's on youtube him performing in a concert and it's a godly experience.

The book readers kept this secret for three seasons. On the night of airing many set up cameras to record their non-readers friends reactions. This was the real beginning of reacting on you tube. The tradition continues to this very day. The Red Wedding is the death of hope. Now you are truly a child of winter.

In some sadistic manner I always love watching empaths when they get to this particular episode. I cannot help but laugh and cheer for their tears, just because we all went through it ourselves, but I genuinely felt bad when I learned that she was watching it on her birthday. Nobody deserves to spend the rest of their day with the feeling of heartbreak when they are trying to celebrate :( Why oh why did you decide on an episode 9 for your birthday my sweet summer child? :>

"Kill me and be cursed, you're no king of mine" - Rickard Karstark, right before his execution. You can't say they didn't warn Robb that he was going down a dangerous path that was leading to the same dead end as his pappy.

No one should ever have tears like that on their birthday. Even if it’s “only” over a TV show. I recommend romantic comedy on future birthdays.

Yessssssssssssssss....feel the sublime pain of the "Red Wedding", whilst we cackle dementedly & laugh at your pain & imbibe your tears. It sustains us till the next reactor sees 3x9. Much like vampires we GOT reactor audiences live eternally, but we must drink the salty Red Wedding tears of the pre 3x9 GOT living to survive. It is our joy....and our curse. 👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹

And thus began the phenomenon now known as the reaction video. They really weren't a "thing" until book readers started recording their friends and family (often surreptitiously) to get their reactions when this episode aired.

His father would be so proud of him. 😇 3x2 Arya : My family is at Riverrun. You : OMG PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE GONNA MEET. PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE GONNA MEET EACH OTHER!!! 🙃 2x3 Yoren : If they keep killing people like this we're gonna run out of characters, seriously!! 99 problems but that's definitely not 1 😅

I know..... love is not safe in war. Robb Stark, Tyrion, Jon Snow, even Khal Drogo,..... the casualties of love just keep on piling. And all because Littlefinger started a war because he was unsuccessful in love. Kind of makes us appreciate the present peace we all live in, doesn't it? We are free to love.

Holy crap, I just looked over and saw that apparently you also did Buffy S5E16, "The Body" basically the same time you did this. That must have been quite the experience. I will say what I say to all people I feel sorry for who have gotten to this point... There are moments ahead that are every bit as triumphant and joyous, as this moment was gut wrenching and awful.
