I think the innocence and naivety of Sansa reminds Cersei of a time when she was innocent and naive of the world around her. A version of herself that she most likely despises, but can completely empathize with Sansa over it. Like, when we see with her in that scene with Robert, where she talks about how she was basically in a teenage awe of him when she first saw him. She was, in her own way, fangirling over him. She was innocent and naive. I doubt she ever imagined, in that moment when she first saw him, that their relationship would be so volatile. I think that she sees a lot of her younger self in Sansa and that's why we see her waiver so much between pity and loathing.
@malirabbit62286 жыл бұрын
Allyson Wonderland Was Cersei ever innocent? Remember when doren martell tells how Cersei hurt baby Tyrion ? Also Cersei pushed me Lara down the well after have their fortunes by the woods witch. I don’t see her as innocent. I see her as spoiled , privileged and selfish!
@iloveyourunclebob6 жыл бұрын
Mali Rabbit, I mean for Cersei. Cersei's level of innocence and naivety is not the same as Sansa. But I am sure there is a little part of her that was at one point more innocent and naive than she is now. I'm also sure that she hates that part of herself with a passion. Anything that reminds her that she's a woman, besides her children, she dislikes. So Santa's stereotypical Maiden imagery is going to be something that she despises, but I also think that she empathizes with her as much as she can.
@malirabbit62286 жыл бұрын
Allyson Wonderland Cersei loaths the fact that she is a woman! Sure some of it has to do with the time in which she lives. With her mom dead she’s close to her father, a very powerful man! As a twin she also finds that she’s treated differently when she’s dressed as Jamie! Her power as queen is through Robert. She is living in a mans world! She uses sex to manipulate men to get what she wants! I also never felt that she really loved her kids! They were just a means to an end. And again the power came through the two sons! Sansa has it in her to take what she has learned from Cersei, little finger an anyone else to be a great person/ leader in her own right. The best revenge is to live well! Good day to you Allyson Wonderland!

15:05 In the previous episode, when Joffrey went scurrying from the battle, the one thing he did before he left was to order Ser Mandon to "represent the king on the field of battle". That's what Joffrey meant by that. "Kill my uncle like I was going to before I got scared and ran away." With everything else going on, _that_ was his main focus. Getting back at his uncle for slapping him in the face.
@lauralynnasteriahathaway68196 жыл бұрын
I always thought it was Littlefinger, if Tyrion survived it would drive a wedge even deeper between Tyrion and Cersei and/or Joffrey, preparing for the purple wedding. If Tyrion died, it would weaken House Lannister's position, because Tyrion was the only capable Lannister in King's Landing at the time. Same with Robert's bastards. Everyone assumes it was Joffrey or Cersei who gave the order, in the books it *was* Cersei, but it's not in the show, and it's never comfirmed that it is Joffrey. Everyone assumes it was Joffrey, but I think Littlefinger did that, trying to turn public opinion away from the Lannisters. He wanted that riot to happen, in season 2. Chaos is a ladder, right?
@zardox786 жыл бұрын
Well, some people say it was Littlefinger who convinced Joffrey to have Ned executed as well. Theories range far and wide about who's pulling which strings. I don't even remember if Joffrey said that to Ser Mandon in the book. But he sure said it in the show. What goes for one doesn't necessarily go for the other. As far as the show's concerned, I don't think that's meant to be an unsolved mystery.
@lauralynnasteriahathaway68196 жыл бұрын
It was Littlefinger. Watch Ned's execution again. After Joffrey calls for Ned's death, Varys is staring right at Littlefinger like "what have you done". And while I agree that the show and the books are different, this was before G.R.R.M left the show. I don't think Littlefinger literally told Joffrey to do it, but he stroked his ego, manipulated him into thinking it would be a good idea. Littlefinger is a master of putting ideas in peoples head, using music, having his men spread rumors, and other subtle things. With Joffrey, it could have been as easy as playing The Rains of Castamere for him. "Your grandfather repaid treason with death, so should you". No one knows for sure except G.R.R.M. and maybe D&D, but I think its probable.
@KellieDoll286 жыл бұрын
Lauren Hathaway Makes sense. It's Cersei who orders Ser Mandon to kill Tyrion in the books, right?
@lauralynnasteriahathaway68196 жыл бұрын
KellieSand04 It's debatable. It was either Joffrey, Cersei, or Littlefinger. I don't think it was Joffrey, he's the obvious answer. The show has that scene where Tyrion and Cersei think that Joffrey did it, and Cersei never thinks about sending Ser Mandon to kill Tyrion in the books. I would guess it was Littlefinger. Ser Mandon was from The Vale, and was only on the kingsguard because Littlefinger convinced Lysa to convince Jon Arryn to put him there. I think, like Nerd Soup, that Varys was lying about Cersei ordering it, and trying to cause a rift between Tyrion and his family so Varys could more easily lead him to Danaerys (and Aegon in the books)

Season 1 MVP I'd have to go with either King Robert or Littlefinger. Season 2 Tyrion or Tywin/Arya Season 3 Jaime and Olenna Tyrell (talk about a breath of fresh air), and Ramsay (you knew he was a bad guy, but it was to Theon, who you hated at the time, so you told yourself it was justified. Until the next scene. And the next one. Eventually you realized what a monster he was, but by then it was too late.) With a little Danaerys with Astapor ending. Season 4 Oberyn. Maybe Tyrion again. Also Arya/Hound. Season 5 Qyburn, maybe Jon. God, season 5 sucks. Season 6 Cersei/Margaery/High Sparrow mix, Davos, Night King Season 7 sigh. Drogon? Qyburn? Davos again? Ed Sheeran? lol

As social beings, we evolved 99% of our time on this Earth in tribe/groups of about 100-150 people.. You would have known them all your whole life and almost everyone would have been like a best friend you could trust.. I bet true love was much more condusive to couples living in tribes for thousands of years vs. nowadays..

On aryas training and keeping it half secret still, I think in hindsight it'd have been much cooler to show her getting to the house of the undying, maybe getting accepted aswell, then we don't see arya at all until the season 6 final when she kills walder frey, and it is a big reveal. Another plus is you get all that time arya had for the more interesting arcs.

I don't believe they cut the scene in the house of the undying because of budget, I believe the scene would have given away that leanna is Jon's mother. In a point of view book you can say oh that's elia because danaeris doesn't know what raegar wife looked like but she was told that he was married to elia so she assumes that who it is. George likes to use this point of view storytelling so he can misdirect the reader into not realising that they have met a character already until it is revealed much later (eg when barriston selmy joins danaeris in the books he is introduced as someone else and we don't learn its him until later, but in the show you can immediately see its him so it's pointless to try with this deception. Same with hound and the grave digger etc) I cld b wrong but that's what I think that scene was really about.
