Am considering the 850D and 90D to replace my 700D. Main needs is connectivity and sensor size for my ride and photographing project, anything more is a bonus or a gift. I do timelapse a lot. The final verdict will be on value for money between the two. I know, both are non comparable as they are in their own league, still going on the Value and Returns. Any good facts and knowledge sharing that would help my decision making? By the way, make sure non related photos are deleted before sharing photo on WiFi or Bluetooth with girlfriend. That could be the end of a lovely relationship.....just joking and putting in the humor, but it happens you know.

Hello. With the dial in AUTO mode and using the FINDER, why doesn't the photo size ratio appear in the shooting settings menu page 1? Only if I switch to LIVE VIEW mode THIS CHANGING POSSIBILITY WILL APPEAR. So if I use the viewfinder I get 3: 2 images. Is there anything wrong? Thanks for your answer Pietro

Hi, I set the selection dial to A (AUTO) but then in the size of the photos taken I can't set the size 16: 9. can you tell me how to take photos at 16: 9 because in the settings menu the possibility to choose the format does not appear but only the quality. Thanks

Hi Pietro, apologies for the late reply. In the A+ (Intelligent Auto) mode, it is not possible to adjust the image aspect ratio as the option is disabled. This mode is mainly catered to new camera users to help them familiarise with DSLR without having to make too many adjustment to the setting. If you wish to make adjustment to the aspect ratio, it can be done in P, Av, Tv or M modes. Thank you!

Hi Luis, thanks for reaching out. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is not supported in 4K, but the EOS 850D supports 4K 23.98fps cropped with Contrast AF. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is available for FHD recording. Thank you!
