For your Nintendo cartridges I have seen other game room tours and they managed to get these cool replica boxes for older cartridge games. There are stores you can order them from online, just something to consider if you wanna add some nice boxes n art to your collection. The boxes are just big enough to fit the cartridges so they don't take up excessive space. I like the white aesthetic of your room and shelves, gives the whole room a very clean and professional look.

Most common problem with master system is that the voltage regulator blows on it if you use a higher voltage model 1 genesis power supply (1992 or later) or use a after market one. The voltage regulator is easy to replace and is commonly why most Sms do not work and get sold as non working or parts.

I was going to say I love the setup. It is a shame that you don't have many newer titles; I'm 40 and probably have 600 some games from Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, and Switch. Big Nintendo guy. I did setup my Switch games on my paper display (142 games) and GameCube games in my top closet (209 games). My N64 games are next in my IKEA curio glass cabinet...pretty much have the vast majority of bigger N64 titles. Then my Wii games are going to go on my weird Taki display I was able to keep from my job, and the Wii U games are probably going on another bread display from work. Once I empty my bookshelf, I'll be putting Game Guides and older Nintendo Power books in it. The China cabinet will be Collecter's Editions of games, my WWE Intercontinental Title, and Legend of Zelda/Super Mario Super Show DVD's. That will be a lot of work, but worth it.

0:33 I switched to PC mid PS4 generation but i feel exactly the same. The Dreamcast/PS2/Xbox generation was the last generation where consoles offered anything unique. From PS3/X360 consoles became weak PCs and entered a stage where the graphics never looked right until the PS5/Series X generation but now more than ever PC is the way to go. Consoles now are mediocre PCs without any of the benefits of a PC. One could argue that a PS5 will be cheaper than building a PC but game sales on PC will give you that money back and any console game you buy is a waste of money after a few years. I spent about 3000$ on games for the PS4 and X One in total and it was a waste because those consoles can't run them in 4K now or have any mods/patches. After i got a PC i got most of those games on PC for like 300$ and they look so much better.

May I ask how you connected your Playstation to the TV?
@flizzzipper4 күн бұрын
The PS1 is connected via a SCART cable. No modifications are needed on the console. From there the SCART connector goes into a SCART switch, because I have all of my retro systems outputting in this format and need all of the inputs so I don't have to keep switching consoles. From there the SCART goes into an upscaler, I have the Retrotink 5X. This upscales the image and outputs the signal into HDMI which goes into the TV.
@Tiberion4 күн бұрын

@@flizzzipper don't sleep on the Jaguar. It was a powerful system. It was probably 2-3 years ahead of it's time. Because of that developers has trouble programming for it. But if you look at the games that came out later in it's life cycle it was on par with Sega Saturn and PlayStation. What's even more impressive is it's sound was just as good as the PlayStations, even with it being cartridge based 😲.
