Everquest: Ruins of Kunark was the first game where I truly felt “free” - I distinctly remember my teenage introverted self going to my local games store, and seeing the box for this game and thinking “wow, this is a whole world, with real people!” Good memories.

Fraughty Yes! One of my favourite games on the original Xbox. It was one of the few games that got upscaled to HD and improved with backward compatibly on the 360. I still have the disc hoping it will become backward compatible with Series X but I would gladly pay for a remake.

Grid has a rewind feature but it's limited and the rewind start location changes over time. I think it's useful and can be helpful but because you know it's limited, you tend not to use it as much, instead saving it for really bad mistakes. I think that's not a terrible way to handle the concept.

Regarding the question about a game that you first really felt freedom in, for me it was ESIII: Morrowind. HOWEVER, more recently I have re-experienced this with Star Citizen. I have been playing for a few weeks now and the scope of that game is kinda mind blowing. I know its a controversial game and a lot of people think its little more than a tech demo at this point but there is a fair amount to do currently, and once/if everything is implemented it will probably be the most open/ free game word there is. It will be a real accomplishment if CIG can pull it off. also its gorgeous to look at.

Cerny said that most of the top 100 games would work on the ps5. But there will be other games too. I think Cerny was just giving us an idea of what would come. I’m worried about it though as BC isn’t a big deal to me. I still own my PS3 and 360. Unless the games are overhauled with new features and content, FF7 for example, I don’t really play older games again.

I'm fine with remakes, as long as they keep true to the originals. I just wish they would remake some of the games I really care about. Prince of Persia Sands of Time and Warrior Within. Dead Space 1 and 2. Jak and Daxter trilogy. God of War 1, 2 and 3. Kill Zone trilogy, Tomb Raider from PS1 & PS2 and Resistance trilogy. And I wouldn't mind seeing Uncharted from the PS3 era remade down the road.
@aaronjones67984 жыл бұрын
With all these remakes I'm like "in 20 years what modern games are going to be remade?" Thinking Marvel's Avengers will be a pretty significant swan song game for this gen. I did quite like Ratchet & Clank Nexus as a PS3 swan song title, it provided a nice send off for the PS3 titles.

Back in the day I was disappointed with ACIII, so I stopped playing it. Later, I wanted to play Black Flag, but decided to catch up on ACIII before doing so. I put the disc in my Xbox and tried to play it, but Ubisoft's servers were down and the DRM disallowed me to play the physical game I owned. So I watched the cut scenes on KZbin and moved on to Black Flag. Black Flag was an amazing game and the last AC that I've played.

I like a good remake. There are simply some games that are entrenched in history in our memories that don’t hold up well to the test of time. A solid remake not a remaster can Bring back nostalgia for those of us who love to series and bring the newcomers into a series. Take the. RE2 remake. Let’s just be honest none of us thought it would be that good. It was phenomenal. It took a game we loved changed it up but kept so many aspects of it that it still felt familiar. So much so that when we saw theRE3 remake. We wanted to know why wasn’t it as good as the previous. Look at the FF7 remake completely new game but it has all the elements of the previous game and it flushed out. We love it yes there are things that need to be improved upon but it’s a solid game. I’m pretty sure the Tony Hawk remake will be good and who doesn’t want a mass affect collection remake. Also I want to note I’m not talking about a remaster I’m talking about remakes I don’t want some thing where you just slap a fresh coat of paint on there and say by our game again I want you to really sit down take something old and beloved and make it new again. Finally let’s be honest how many of us would love a super Mario 64 remaster Nintendo would kill it if they added some additional content. Throw in something like the lost levels I don’t know.

34:00. Wolfenstein literally shows Blazkowicz dressed as a baby when you are choosing the easiest difficulty. MGS 5 has the chicken hat option giving you the opportunity to make the game easier whilst ridiculing you at the same time. Both of these taunts were a great way to encourage me to play the games on higher difficulties. 😝

The rewind feature and save states are awesome when you're playing retro games. I remember Blinx The Time Cat had a rewing feature which was pretty cool. I didn't like the rewind feature in Forza 4. I relied it on too much that I eventually stopped playing. Also, there's nothing wrong with games having multiple difficulties. A lot of people won't be able to experience Sekiro because it's quite difficult.
