When Minecraft first came out, players were confused about one thing...THE ENDING. Minecraft's ending is a 10-minute scroll of philosophical text that everyone either wrote off completely or LOVES to HATE. And I'll be honest, when I first saw it, I thought they were right. This weird, philosophical conversation/poem/mumbo-jumbo confused everyone and seemed all wrong for Minecraft, a game that technically is ENDLESS! But looking at it more closely, the ending of Minecraft hides an amazing story about the game, the universe, and how awesome WE are as gamers. I put it down to him having a son now, naturally your language and humour changes ti more kid friendly. I did this and didn't even realise when I had my girls. Also Matts theories used to be wayyy scarier and targeted. to an adult audience. Another factor is sponsors usually don't like crude language and humour as it becomes part of the brand in a sponsored video and matt deffo gets more sponsors and brand deals in 2024 than he did back in the theory channels early days

A thought that I had is: if our ancestors created and invented/put a base on all those things we have today. If the scientists discover something, or if they did discover something long ago… it was seen as something new and (maybe) impossible, something, that they had never seen/felt/heard before. Something that didn’t exist before they discovered it. Like… how do atoms work, is earth round, how literally everything works that we know today. Our ancestors didn’t know all those things and therefore assumed they didn’t exist/work that way. What I wanted to say was… All the atoms were already there, when humans didn’t know about them thousands of years ago… all the world physic rules, all the rules were already there, they were just not discovered. It would have been possible to make all kinds of things that we have today thousand years ago, if they were just discovered. Now I wonder, what are the things that have always existed and we still don’t know about them…

Shocked to see that people misinterpreted it or were too lazy to bother reading. Personally, I think it's the God figures are trying to put a sense of purpose in the player. I read the whole thing, word for word, and I had the revelation long before reading it, but that we are born with the ability to create good things "beyond the screen". And saying "Wake up" was to make the dream analogy more poetic, basically saying now that this dream (minecraft) in over we can now go peruse a bigger, better, more prosperous one. To me it's a hopeful message if we try to understand the full message.

What most people forget about is the absolutely incredible music that was written for the credits. It starts off like normal Minecraft like sounding music, but then it evolves into a motivational and empowering piece that is highly underrated.

Who ever said GT was right? For all we know Mojang might have actually meant the "Get a life" idea. GT just throws his cent into the well. Sure, Notch agrees with the poem, but how do we know that Notch has the exact same idea as GT, he might think it means something entirely else. I mean, GT has evidence to support his idea, sure, but it could be a simple coincidence. Don't get me wrong, I believe his idea is good, but why do so many people assume that whatever GT says is automatically true? Besides, the fan base isn't just ten year olds. RP servers tend to have more mature, developed, older audiences, though not necessarily. It just depends where you look.

The first time a beat the ender dragon, I was in creative and my brothers were teaching me how to beat it. When we did, the game chose me just me not any of my brothers to read the end text. I had no idea what it was and I didn't finish it. I was in 5th grade and the idea of waking up from life, and that life and Minecraft were just dreams scared me. I have a theory. This might not be canon, and herobrine is more of a creepypasta than an actual addition to Minecraft, but I think that herobrine is the blue voice seen in the credits. The blue lines spoken seem as if the god has been watching the player. This is similar to the original creepypasta. Herobrine was never a destructive force trying to kill the player, he watches, sneaking around in the corner of the screen, trying his best to not be seen. He always left behind clues, like the tunnels. The blue lines was the one that notified the green line of the player. Now there are definitely holes in this theory, but this is just what I like to believe. You don't have to accept this theory. Just eanted to share my thoughts on a creepypasta being connected to the ending. I don't know, maybe it has something to do with those "removed herobrine" secret updates
