I don't know why but the idea of everyone going to hide in the ball pit and the entire thing just collapsing into an abyss is actually terrifying to me. And then being greeted by Zolphius on the way down and Flynn catching everyone and most of the adults are killed? It really does seem like the kind if thing that would be in a literal nightmare, it diesnt make a lot of sense but theres just a sense of foreboding and fear that comes from it.

I think it's more so that she was the only one left present in the first chapter. Not to mention the marks on the wall of the ball pit room that suggest she had climbed the wall. Perhaps literally everyone, mascots included, fell in the pit, but Opila caught the wall during the fall. Probably not too far down, so she was able to get back up, leaving her the only one present on that floor. But then the main character come along and get Opila to fall after all, same as everyone else.

I think, on a personal view, that zolphius and the mutant kid has probably known each other as human, OR the kids that fell into the ball pit fell into some givanium storage facility and mutated into the mutant kid. It would explain the sad, screaming and scared face as it’s the kids’s fear of never going to see their dear parents ever again

Fun fact: scent pods don't work if you think about the fact that your drinking water beforehand, I learned this because of one of my moms friends sending us candy in a big container that used to hold peppermints, and so the scent would stick to the candy and make it taste weird but I found out how to make it taste normal again by telling myself in my head what I had in my mouth.

I like how Matt thinks that The difference in the whiteboard is significant when it was actually what was originally supposed to be in the game before they changed it during development. Earlier in the game Banban did tell us he was planning on giving that one imposter monster to his "friend", maybe this new monster is that friend. Maybe he was only one who could befriend it, he did say he didn't get along with the other scientists. It's probably why he able to connect, one outcast to another.

Here's a theory! Syringeon, the Mascot teased in the secret room in 4 is the reason why the Mascots seem to survive every encounter that leads to them being injured. Opila's fall in the ball pit, Nabnab getting attacked by Nabnaleena, Kamataki and Chamataki's explosion injuries and the fall it takes after it's boss battle, and any injuries that took place at the ending of 3. Why else would they have a Mascot with actual surgical tools? It's made to keep the other Mascots alive, and maybe even make new ones so there's no risk of something like the jumpscare after you fail Nabnaleena's minigame to the doctors.

I need to correct something in this video (or make sure I'm not crazy and the only one who heard it lol). When Zolphius says I'm sorry, he says it in Spanish in the audio, even though the subtitles are in English. He says "Lo Siento," Spanish for I'm sorry. Am I the only one who hears this in the game? Or maybe was it a patch that was added it after MatPat played? Just curious if anyone else caught this.

Going to offer a slight alter theory. Chapter V isn't a prequel, but a B story. The images aren't on Meet-A-Friend Day, but in a separate basement area we haven't seen yet. A duplicate of the kindergarten where this green child was living and being taught to live with others. The difference in whiteboards due to someone changing it in the real kindergarten but nobody was left to change the "copy" in the basement. Yes, they intended to bring the green child up for Meet-A-Friend Day, but it triggered Banban before hand. Banban went nuts during Meet-A-Friend Day because he was triggered by the similarity to what he had seen in the duplicate room with green child and remembered the trauma green child caused.
