Best tip: dont play solo, that is only one thing that matters in this game.

That tip does not matter anymore thanks to the solo queue map.... Also, I have made an absolute killing on that map waiting for friends to hop on. Solo play is very much the way to go for quick and profitable raids.

You can play solo but I wouldnt reccomend it as a new player that's for sure, but I've killed entire trios on solo runs just with good gear and smart potion/skill use also being sneaky helps a lot

Those are strictly sellable items, there are "crafting" items but you can't find those in chests or mobs, those are exclusive mined using a pickaxe that you buy from the woodsman (I saw a pickaxe at the weaponsmith once but I don't think that's supposed to happen)

Beginners don't even get to the "choose your gear" "portals""stash" etc... They are farmed by full geared people and stand barelly any chance to escape a game

you're gonna have to play like a rat and avoid players and making noise for a few runs until you can afford to go in with some better gear. only THEN should you even consider pvp. try to hit lvl 15 asap to get those perk slots. your perks and skills are crazy powerful sometimes its better to just wait a bit and people can die to ai, and you will be able to search for a portal in the empty small dungeon by yourself at the end. just a risk because if you wait too long there might not be one for you.. it's normal to die a lot!! it's inevitable so don't let it frustrate you

After running runs last night me and my new friends did fine, even killed two more geared groups. I was the only one who didn't escape because I often times let my teammates portal first (and I'm aggro asf).

Running from PvP is very easy especially if you have your team carry invisible pots just don't take fights you're not ready for if you can't use your brain this game isn't for you

I could see the value in turning off pvp for a tutorial kind of thing. The game is designed around pvp though so not having it at all would make the game feel incomplete. I think if they did this no loot should be able to be taken into the pvp game what so ever. Personally I'm against any non pvp game mode out side of tutorials or a practice area to test out weapons on target dummies.

Not trying to be that guy but literally just a skill issue. I escape one in every 3 or so attempts in the goblin dungeon (ungeared), and about 2 in 3 with my buddy when we play duo. Skeletons only take like 6 hits from a fresh cleric, or one hit and your recharging turn undead ability, and the attacks are so simplistic its childish to dodge. Even easier with fighter, once you understand what to do. I agree there should be some kind of tutorial arena or dungeon for pure pve though.

Yeah I dunno theres zero balance in this game and is literally impossible to get to a portal let alone survive past the first 5 minutes when literally everything from spider to skeletons cann all basically 3-4 shot you while it take you at the minimum multiple hits to kill anything at early levels. There's absolutely zero scaling and is basically unplayable as a solo player. If you do not have multiple friends to play this game your basically bait for any one else. Until they do some rebalancing, binded weapons, or something to not make completely risky to actually use any gear you find, this game is near impossible to enjoy unless you really like the brutal grind. Literally all npcs need a major hp nerf especially for level 1 players, it's like you start level 1 but everything around you is level 3 or higher. Edit : after watching some videos and getting used to the jankiness I must say after hitting lvl 20 ok it's not so bad lol, if you see a naked mage popping invis, watch your back I might just point-blank missile shotgun your cleric

This play test is specifically testing the tier 2-3 dungeons. In the full release, there will be a level above the one we currently spawn in that is a bit easier.
