That was a pretty good review. I like how you mention how poorly thought out the weapon placement is throughout the castle because I thought the same thing. For example, it didn't make much sense to have to use the bat soul to fly to a weapon that wound up being worse than ones that could be bought earlier in the game. The Claimh Solais is a good find though. Despite its minor flaws, this is still my favorite GBA game.

Yeah, I got it for about that too. I had to pay about 3$ for the shipping, as it was sent from another country, but still a good price.

I am more of a Zelda bot but i LOVED Symphony of the night :) A bit older today and miss some titles. Of the GBA Castlevania games i have only played CotM for a few hours. I liked what i saw but other things came in between. Looking forward to next rev

Of all the bosses, I find Balore the hardest, but Death is certainly a close second. I enjoyed this game immensely, and have finally bought it for GBA after playing it far too much on an emulator. I can't wait to finally play it on its home console.

@Dawnemperor1 I've never found Julius extremely hard, I usually just stocked up on healing items and MP recovery items and spammed the Balore soul on him.

@OriginalRatoly What about Julius? I think he's probably the hardest boss; he's the only boss that has multiple attack patterns. It takes time to get used to his erratic movements. Yeah, there were some bosses that kicked my ass A LOT like headhunter, death, and Balore. Those were probably the hardest bosses in the normal ending.

if I remember correctly Death is in the Clock Tower and has 4,444 HP and gives 4,444 EXP upon defeat. oh and if you dont know this then your gonna be shocked, you remember Alucard from Sotn I hope, well Genya is Alucard, so many hints are given throughout the game, its just a shame you cant play as Alucard in this one.

Easy boss battles,small castle,but still had fun with it... Maxed it out in100 %.

its good but there is another Castlevania I liked more, Circle of the Moon, that one was pretty good on GBA but overall, Symphony of the Night is the best in Circle of the Moon Death kicked major ass despite being an optional boss which it was preferred that you did fight him because of a lil relic that proved to be useful.

Dammit, i remember playing this when i was like 10 on the gameboy. Lol, i got the best ending i think* where when you kill like the white suit guy the last level supposedly, you can go to the chaos realm and fight the three bosses. I forgot lol.

i loved this game,but the questions i asked myself when i was younger were: 1.if dracula just wanted to kill soma,why didnt he build spikes all over his castle,its not like soma can fly over then so he had to run from castle or just to kill himself 2.if this is dracula's castle,why is he making such traps,what if he wants to go to eat or something,he goes trough his castle avoinding minions he put? what if he meets some of bosses? xD

Although you did fail to say only 3 Souls are Mandatory of getting Boss Rush,New Game Plus,Hard Mode and Sound Gallery this aint a bad review and from personal experience in this game I have to agree with those damn spikes the last 3 Bosses should be difficult then the spike/stone combo

WAIT A DAMN MINUTE! last I checked, Death is in Aria of Sorrow and just about every other Castlevania usually before and I mean RIGHT BEFORE Dracula with Lament being an exception since Death is the final boss, but seriously, DID YOU EVEN PLAY THE GAME? if you had and went through the clock tower you would know Death is there, by far I say Death is my favorite boss in the series.

wow i had it this on mobile before......it wasn't bad but this 1 is better but the best of the castlevania series i think was super castlevania 4 and symphony of the night.
