If your screen lens falls off, don't reattach it with super glue.. it will just become a nightmare for me in 10 years :)

I have an old toys r us GBA edition with the same problem. I would attempt to copy what you did, but I'm always scared of breaking something or just not being as careful as you are. I have some bad experiences lol but maybe one day. Thank you. When the day comes, I'll come back to this

A fiberglass pen also works great for polishing those contacts. I to let the parts dry next to a loaf of bread. It helps keep in the freshness.

Bread is the largely underutilized in electronics repair. I'm trying to change that.

When you put the switch back in, did you solder it? Did you do any soldering at any point or just use the iron? Thank You.

I'm a little confused by this question. The top plate of the switch is soldered back where it came from starting at 2:47.

You could also install a glass lens that is much better for visibility

I was going to replace the lens but the GBA logo text on the original just looks so much nicer than on aftermarket plates-so decided to keep it original.
