I have not once drilled a GB solid and not shined it up before it even saw the lane and have never not had one in my bags… shine it up and fall in love Luck!!!

I appreciate your feedback. The shape that this GB5 has reminds me of my Phaze 2, which is sometimes difficult for me to control on a house pattern. I can string some strikes with it, but will start going through the head if I get too steep from moving too far right with the feet and projecting left. Thanks Luke!

Very nice review. I have been considering getting a new strong symmetric solid and I believe I have found my ball. Thanks much!

I drilled mine just before packing for Vegas and this thing is disgustingly strong for a gamebreaker. Tour players are gonna love it. Might be a dud for most people on house with that cover.

Never have I had the pleasure of throwing a GB ball and I still may not. Just a house/recreational bowler and I don't see this as an option. Still appreciate the review. Thanks again Luke.

Agree, think I'll have better options for me. Not saying it would be bad, just not too good for me.

GB2 is a hilariously good benchmark ball. It’s like an iq tour solid just 3 boards stronger. Great first ball out of the bag tbh

Just curious, why do you not like it for a recreational house shot league bowler? I was looking at getting a solid symmetrical and the gb5 looks good to me. I'm a decent bowler with a 208 house pattern average and throw a powerful speed dominant shot (20ish off my hand 18mph down lane) I haven't had luck with asymmetrical solids with them burning up and rolling forward. I have much success with DV8 damn good verge pearl and verge hybrid. The verge symmetrical core have a nice predictable curve shape so that's why I'm thinking about the gb5. Any of your feedback would be appreciated thanks.

@@ericwestfall1249 if you’re speed dom you’re gonna be good with the gb5. It’s a strong cover but if you throw it hard that’s only gonna help you

Just shot 26 pins above my average using the GB5 in league. I have the GB4 solid and this has more length with a sharper back end. I actually love the motion and I like not having to put all my hand into a ball all the time.

Isn't the GB4 actually a hybrid?

Hi Luke. I enjoy watching your videos. I would like to know what type of lead you use in your mechanical pencil to mark your ball? Thank's.

I've been needing a top of the bag type of ball and the big asym's just haven't rolled well for me. Maybe this is the ball I'm looking for. Especially since I have the Envy Tour already, looks like it's a good ball for when that's not quite enough.

Again another great review. Where does the GB line stack up against the SPI balls? I am thinking Hy-Road as price wise they are in the same area. A lot of performance for your buck.
@LukeRosdahl7 ай бұрын
I mean price-wise sure, but this is pretty well the strongest ball I've ever thrown, including asyms, so this is much more in Optimum Idol, Phaze 2, Summit territory plus a few boards. It's so much stronger than a Hyroad.

I bowl on an extremely wet/dry house shot with carry down. My ball speed is close to yours with what looks like comparable rev rate. Would this ball with box surface work playing inside on the oil line?
@LukeRosdahl7 ай бұрын
Yeah it should be, it'll help blend and it'll definitely hook.
@blakeattig54267 ай бұрын
Nice review. How would you compare the ball motion of this compared to the GameBreaker 2 (2022)?
@LukeRosdahl7 ай бұрын
The ball motion between all the solid ones seems to be fairly similar, I think this one is just earlier and smoother but still has that rounder shape, and most of how early it is might just be the box finish, it's super dull out of the box. Once it gets some games on it, it should fall pretty well in line with most of the other solid GBs
@vance8367 ай бұрын
Not sure why when something is already pretty strong why they would have the OOB at 1500. That seems overkill to me. I had the OG GB2 and while I loved the motion I got, I could not carry with it. It was pretty disappointing. Thinking about drilling a new GB and using a different layout.
@jordy_urabz5 ай бұрын
did you go super saiyan mid video? XD
@Mainzer747 ай бұрын
The GB line is great but the surfaces they come at are not useful. I have high speed and a high rev rate but I usually hit it 4000 out of the box without bothering to throw it. Only time I would throw it dull would be nationals

Best ball last year track therom I have the gb4 it strong than my reality check goes neck and neck with my rxtx1 it's got teeth heavy rolling only way to make it skid hook is to stand at ball return u can throw it 19 mph up ten it still will roll early when it hits friction combo is cover strong almost weak core but the cover slow the ball down so hard
