One thing tho. even though i've parented the liquid and bottle and they all move when i move one, everything moves at a different pace but i solved it grouping everything even though it's parented, hope it's okay!

Thanks for sharing Shane, I usually just grouped things together but "parenting" seems to be a better option. Cool bananas!

You're right, this was cool bananas. As for grouping and parenting, they work very similarly when moving, scaling etc. Where parenting really gets awesome is in animation.

Thanks a lot for tutorials! You're amazing teacher :) Unfortunately I stucked and I've got a problem with filling a hole (8:07). My hole is curved (round shaped) instead flat like yours. I tried to find a solution how to fix it, but I couldn't :( Could you help me please?

You might need to use append to polygon or bridge

Hello! I have a question. What exactly is the difference between parenting and grouping? When do I know which one to use??
@darkestnutoftheabyss36413 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tutorials kind sir!!? I just have a small problem. When inserting edge loops with the multicut tool, after i"ve placed the edge loop and try to select the entire loop by double clicking (02:00), it only selects a section of the entire loop. Do you maybe know what the problem is and if there is a way to fix it? Once again, thank you so much for the tutorials. You've resparked my hope for 3D!!

Hi. Loving this tutorial! But just wondering if I can buy your texture pack using a debit card or PayPal instead of a credit card? Thanks!

I know that you can definitely use debit card. Not sure about PayPal.

Hello again! My Maya crashed when I was in the middle of this video and I was not worried at first because I turned on incremental auto-save every 10 minutes at the very beginning like you showed - but then it turned out that after I manually saved my project in the afternoon by Ctrl + S - autosave stopped working for some reason and haven't saved anything from that time so I lost everything that I have done since then. So naturally I have a question now - what might be the case for the incremental autosave not working? I can tell right away that I have more than enough space on my harddrive where I store this project. Thank you in advance!
@GameDevAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Look in the auto save folder and in the scenes folder. Sometimes incremental saves are put into folders in the scenes folder.
@serebranka3 жыл бұрын
@@GameDevAcademy Thanks for the answer. Sadly relevant saves are still lost so I had to redo this lesson from the beginning - but on the bright side it got me to exercise in Maya a little bit more. Got some strange artifacts in the mesh at the bottom of the flask though - they look like tiny pikes and become visible only if I extrude too much. And it seems that you have a perfectly regular nice mesh. Why do such artifacts appear and could they bring problems in the future? If so - how do I get rid of them? Thank you again

wow that wasn't soo hard to make it but it literally feels like i'm copying everything & mine will absolutely same as your :p but i am thinking i'll change the liquid colour in future although it will not be considered as "different" but still for my satisfaction, I'll try to change colors 😆
