Flying Terra for Kingambit is a legit great defensive move for her to pull. Most Trainers who use Terra in the game do it for offense alone, so it's really refreshing seeing Geeta use it not just to negate Kingambit's natural weaknesses, but also enabeling it to clap back with flying Terrablast against fighting types that would normally destroy it.

Or maybe even a Toxapex with Merciless and Venoshock, so as to effectively exploit the toxic spikes set at the start of the fight by Glimmora. There were many possible solutions.

You can actually encounter this same team in the Ace Tournament if you have the Indigo Disk DLC and finished it. Only reason why I know is because it caught me off guard when I was money farming. And because I didn’t unlock her as a guest for BB Academy.

I have a personal headcanon that Geeta intentionally uses a weaker team in the main game because A, anyone in Paldea can be a Champion should they defeat Chairwoman Geeta. B, I could tell from her personality alone, she would intentionally hold back her full on team because she wants to see these students grow. I know this was probably GameFreak apologising to fans over their disappointment, but this is my personal headcanon.

If their goal was to make glimmora memorable for the area zero expedition when Nemona talked about it, instead of make it the last pokemon to tera type, she could have lead the team with it while having that glimmora have 10 level difference compared to the rest of her team. It would have weaken the players team considerably, require multiple hits to kill glimmora which will likely set up for toxic debris, and make king gambit scary as the final tera type pokemon.

Even if you Tera-Fire, and 2HKO the Glimmora (a Level 68 Skeledirge cannot get the 2HKO w/o sun support or Tera-Fire), Glimmora's Power Gem should still put you in range of Dragapult. Unless she blunders and low rolls a Sucker Punch (which even then would require a low roll on Glimmora Power Gem), then Dragapult finishes Skeledirge. And if that's the case, that's more of an AI problem than a team composition problem. If we assume that her team is at the Level it's supposed to be (Lv 84-85), then Glimmora (EVEN with 0 SpA neutral nature) EASILY OHKO's Skeledirge. Lvl 84 0 SpA Glimmora Power Gem vs. Lvl 68 4 HP / 0 SpD Tera Fire Skeledirge: 278-330 (115.3 - 136.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I ended up making new teams for both DLC just to try and level match the opponents. If not for Drayden getting me to switch out for locally caught pokemon (which I kept for his battle), I would have been overlevelled again by the Champion. They probably should have scaled the levels higher, but I do agree that going into these with Lv 100s is missing half of the fun.

Trade a lot of pokemon with the gym leaders and BB elite four and for the teachers you have to do their classes.

During the third invite (speaking with them each time previously, battle is not necessary) you can trade, any pokemon can be traded. This gets you a gold border, three gold borders unlocks any teacher you have max bond with, 5 borders unlocks the two elite four members of the roster. The final three, suspected to be Arven, Nemona and Penny are likely to be unlocked in the Indigo Disk epilogue episode. Hope this helps.

Three trades for the teachers (you also have to complete their side stories), five trades for the Elite Four, eight trades for Geeta, ten trades for the secret superboss, play the epilogue (doesn't come out until January 24th) for the last three.
