got the new game and I love it, best story so far since gen 5 imo but also it is VERY broken. you can only tolerate a jigglypuff flying through the air so many times before you start to get annoyed at gamefreak’s desperate want to pump out a half baked game every year. i adore the pokemon franchise but cmon man

I just feel bad for the people working on it. Cause clearly, they must be working their ass off to do the best they can in that time limit, and if they don't do enough, then everyone else in the other departments are gonna fall with them. The games, the merch, the cards, the anime, etc, if one group doesn't work fast enough, literally all will fall, like a table with 3 legs. But they purposely did that to themselves. Of course the jump to 3D wouldn't be easy, just look at Sonic Adventure, or 80% of games on the Dreamcast. But the difference is 3D games of franchises only come like 2 every console life cycle. Why else do you think there's like, 2 or 1 main platformer Mario game for every console, not counting the spinoffs. Even Breath of the Wild, which was supposed to come out on the Wii U release, came out until the next gen console, because there's so much stuff they had to fix before even releasing it. And here's Gamefreak, who just started 3D way too late in the game, with only like 1 to 3 years to make a game every year. No wonder why Scarlet or Violet don't look polished. Now they have to update other mobile games, while making the next 3 games in a few months. But if you think not buying Pokemon Violet is gonna change their mindset, it won't, unfortunately. If they don't get your 60 bucks, then they'll get it through cards or movies IDK. At this point, it's just a pride thing. It's okay to like badly made games. Just look at Sonic Adventure, CyberPunk 2077, Skyrim, Fallout, almost every CoD game, Madden, etc. I know Sonic Adventure is full of bugs and glitches, and the story is comedically funny, but I'll be lying if I didn't say it's one of my favorite games. It's okay to like badly made content. No shame in that.
