I'd love to hear them read through the series, but let's be honest; it's way too damn long. If they only went through an arc or two, we wouldn't be satisfied. If they hand picked certain arcs throughout the series, everyone (except those of us who've read the series before) would be confused. And if they tried to do the whole thing, either they'd get bored of it at some point (likely), or it'd take a couple of years to get through, assuming near-daily uploads of just that. But, wishful thinking. Or at least, a fun, faraway dream.

Zonic was a sort of interdimensional cop. Long story. 10:32 That thing is Ixis Naugus. Was going to be in the SatAM cartoon before it got cancelled, brought into the comic. The country gal bunny is Bunnie Rabbot. That "Hal 9000" is Sonic's uncle Chuck roboticized. As for the King, I don't recall what happened with him, something about a crystalizing process that Knuckles had to help reverse or something.

It's only weird if you don't consider that, at the point that the cartoon was made, Sega had developed no backgrounds for any of the characters (which were Tails, Sonic, and Robotnik, at the time). They didn't have a lot to go on, so they made their own characters, and their own race of "mobians."

Heck the couple that don't were still drawn by "professional" comic artists in the business. Hell many fans agree the "deviantart artists" aka the artists and writers brought in from online fan submissions who have many online fan works were considered better artists then most of the professionals. Again Danny and Arin are not only you know FUNNY but also clearly busy with many other things not to have time to read every single comic or look up these facts. An excuse I'm sure you don't have so yeah calling you out on that.
