Soooo I looked up a review of Vectron and apparently it's this: You are trying to build a "base" out of those yellow blocks going all the way from the left to the right, but the enemies eat your base so you wanna shoot them with the joystick while building your base. The rogue saturn flying around blocks your shots. it's apparently super hard.

Seth Leon there's an ambience track you can play in the background. Most of it's just random noises and songs from other intellivision games on the collection, but there are a couple of tribute songs. Haven't played the disc myself in a few years, but my friend and i played the shit out of this on my old ps2. It drives me crazy they didn't disable the ambient music because, as you have effectively pointed out, it's very distracting at times.
