Beginner Thresh mains should definitely check this out, it's pretty informative. Some points I want to make: - Don't be afraid to go for Legend: Tenacity + Unflinching if you are facing a heavy CC team. - CDR in your offensive rune is also a good option. With 45% and the mechanic on Q if you hit it, you will have Q up all the time in late game - People can teleport on W and its core also counts as terrain, people have to walk around it. Sometimes you can use that to your advantage. - You don't always have to recast your Q. Learn to Q+AA or Q+E+AA. Too many people go for Q+Q+E and end up dying.

One small tip/trick I haven’t heard mentioned before (honestly because it is very situational, but worth mentioning): say you put down your lantern and the ally doesn’t pick it up, or you just through it in front of you in lane to pick up souls that would’ve gotten you poked hard. Walking out of range of the lantern snaps it to you, and then you get the shielding from it. On top of that, your closest ally gets the shield from you as well. This doesn’t have to happen simultaneously. As long as the shield is on you, you can give it to an ally Like I said, very situational, but useful if you’re laning against a heavy pokers and you need to shield your carry for a brief second

Other usefull stuff: -People can teleport into the lantern -You can use the lantern to scout. It bypasses control wards, so it is good to get vision on baron/dragon when the enemy is already there (also allows your jungle to try a "suicide smite" on dragon/baron, and then escape with the lantern) -You can use the lantern to grab souls from a safe distance. -You can throw the lantern over a wall or behind to make the opponent believe the jungler is coming, and have them run from a fight they could have won -You can use the lantern to block small path. The most important one is the side of the bot tower that is close to the wall. If you throw it there, the enemy has to go around the other side of the tower to get far, which makes it easy to land a hook (specially if you throw it after they were already going throught that small path)

Knights Vow and Mobies is worthless fyi: as adc takes damage and you take a portion thus losing the the greater movement speed from mobis. Your welcome!

I'm a thresh one trick with over 1 million mastery points and I always play him with guardian. I know after shock is good on him But I got used to the extra shielding on my W in lane and I also always pick revitalize to amp that shield even more. I guess it's just my play style but hey as long as it works .... right?

Guardian is good in some situations, but many times the heavy resistances from Aftershock may be necessary to function in all ins or teamfights.

Thresh can struggle when he gets overwhelmed, its pretty tough to deal with more than 2-3 people, and in KR EVERYONE MOVES to a fight or to a play. I imagine that his pick and cc is less amazing outside of lane in KR than in other regions where just balling up and going for plays is less common.

Steel shoulder guard usually for better autos in the early game. Plus with the empowered flay auto attack can actually do quite a bit of damage.

As an experienced thresh (otp) and support main, i recommend you all not to play support on bronze/silver elo. Just play mid or jungle. It really doesn't matter the support you play, thresh pyke leona nauti lux, you may carry 1 to 2 games but loose 4 or more on a row. As a support you depend exclusively on the team, more than other laners. If you get a bad team, you loose. We can't carry a bad team. Unless you play with a duo "What delightful agony we shall inflict"
