I was gunna say something similar. Motorfest has been out for a while with a much larger studio working on it to fix bugs and such, these guys were kinda forced to launch a bit early IMO with Forza set to come out for End of Year and GTA coming out next year, I reckon if they didn't have that it'd be delayed a bit longer but their hand feels like it's been forced to a degree. I wouldn't say it's an 'early' demo, the private betas have been going since last year - with that said I doubt this is the latest version but is probably the closest thing to a stable build which is the first to be publicly available. I was hoping it would be more polished being this close to launch but I've seen some studios make massive changes between demo and launch even with short time frames, so I hope these guys can do the same. They seem dedicated to making the launch as good as possible which seems promising.

the brakes only get hot when braking a lot of weight for a long time, for long braking you need to brake from a high speed, and not like in the video. So here the TDU is not very realistic. And not all brakes get hot, some need too much load

That's not a shame that's realism. To actually overhead obviously the car must brake at high speeds. That's exactly how it works in TCM. TDU on the other hand has overheating literally on every break, which is in fact bad.

You should’ve compared steering wheel rotation and paddle shifter movement because in motorfest the paddles actually move when you shift which is very rare to see in open world racing games. I feel those two details are small but very appreciated

This happens when you move faster than your Harddrive could load model and texture area data into the Ram. That's why SSDs are essential for today's Games. Just as Games grow bigger and bigger, the Data packages for Game files to load into the System increase likewise. nerdmode off.

You can find NPCs in motorfest at the festival or some races activation point. In motorfest brakes do overheat. Probably you were going too slow.

Eden Games worked on developing TDU as a product for Atari, the publisher who gave them rights, Atari sold the rights so Nacon, as the owner of TDU as a whole has rights to re-release tdu/tdu2 or use whatever part of those games in another game. Looking at how small their studio is, I think its still better than seeing all those UE5 scams with pre-purchased assets which run like crap.

I'm really hoping TDU has better steering wheel setup/settings. I cannot for the life of me figure out settings that feel good on my Logitech G923 in motorfest which is a huge bummer to me. So many driving games are plug and play with that wheel. With a smaller development team that might be a stretch but if the handling feels good on a wheel that's huge for me. If anybody has any settings suggestions for motorfest I would appreciate that.

Man sieht die Demo für den PC und als XBS X Gamer mit 4K UHD denke ich wie schlecht wird das neue Test Drive mit den aktuellen Konsolen ( ausser XBS S ) aussehen !!! Keine Demo für Konsolen > kein Kauf . Dazu permanenter Onlinezwang wie in Motorfest oder Forza Motorsport ( 8 ) für Solo Gamer , das alles für 90 Euro ab 05.09.2024 ist sehr fraglich TDvzu kaufen . TD1 und TD2 / XB360 hätte man auch grafisch polieren können für meine XBS S + meine XBS X , dann wäre ich zufrieden gewesen . TD3 ist nicht das einzige Arcade Rennspiel für XB & Co.
