I have recreated it with a small box on a ramp like it's done for floorstacking, because I was getting line of sight block this wipe with the gabe method on a facepunch server. It worked with hqm. Hope it gives you ideas how to make it work with hqm. ❤️ Great content!!!

Not sure what you can do with this information, but I figure, you are the best person to give this info to.. So, if you have horse poop on the ground, stand on top of it while holding the electrical tool, you will not be able to see any power inputs or outputs of electrical devices near you. I have no idea if this would be useful, but maybe some crazy exploit can be done. Anyway, gl. love your stuff, keep making content, you are fabulous!

you can also do this with a slanted roof, run under the roof and place the first foundation then walk away from the roof to place the second, gives a 1 pixel gap every time

Hey Gamelightz!!! It's quite a coincidence you're posting your own method for this gap because I was just testing a couple things myself!! :P... I've figured out a way to do this same pixel gap and actually attach it to your main base. IRONICALLY though, I remembered seeing a video (just finding out it was yours) about "How TC's ACTUALLY work and since figuring this out, I decided to search for that video again lol. I guess it's useless if it's not the 1st external TC made, but the method is definitely worth learning. I don't make any youtube videos, so it's some content for you if you want it. Just lemme know

It is possible to upgrade these two halfwalls to HQM by using twig roof (instead of campfire) and pushing yourself to that twig roof, using this method gap is wider (can't shoot through aswell).

If you put the electric light on the foundation instead of on the wall you can also loot the TC, little bit easier

Yes but you need to place it in a very exact position on the floor too, the right distance away, so I went with wall, in case you place something deep behind the gap. But smart alarm is best.

If you raise the initial foundation where TC is hidden and put a lower foundation in front of it, you can just place a research table and jump up on the research table to access the pixel gap, i prefer it just because i don't have to move research table ever i can just keep it down with a large container under it permanently

First of all thanks for all the amazing ideas and base builds. I rarely comment on videos or ask content creators for a favor. But it would be really amazing if you could design a base (duo-squad) more specific in case of anti offline protection. In my 2300 h i never got onlined (when base was finished) so i searched for a base which is kinda cost effectiv, easy and fast to build (i prefer PVP and roaming ) and requires a hugh amount of boom to raid it... but i can hardly find an appropiate design - mainly suicide bunkers - and in a team of 3-4 players this sucks also because time related not everyone is online at the same time. So my perfect base would be: Easy and fast building (no foundation/floor stacking), cost effective, no wide gaps or fancy shooting floor (but you have already here some amazing ideas you could include) and overall directed to anti offline protection. I love your "Trio HEaven", but yeah i must admit i/we don't have in most cases the time and preservance to build the base. Greetings from Germany and keep pushing out your creative builds!

Well then first of all, thank you so much for breakin the habit of not commenting. I appreciate it immensely, not because it helps spread my videos, but because I love reading what my viewers think and want. The temple V2 might be a tiny bit crowded but can work for a duo, I've played it as duo many times. What I do now to stash loot away, instead of focusing overmuch on the main base, I have like 4 external mini-bunkers where I divide some loot randomly :)

Got 2 full gear guys raiding me, one came in the bunker closed and the guy died (cause of a hidden shotgun trap). You can also close it yourself as you wish for the time you don't have a shotgun trap. Trying to create a new model right now: My first attempt was the same pattern than the one shown in the video triangle in the center and using the auto closing bunker trick. My second attempt is to use 2 triangle in the middle so you have 4 squares arround which gives the possibility to add an inside refinery. In the video we could also think of a 2x3 instead of a 2x2 to add an inside refinery, which could get really handy. Still @GameLightz would love to see 2 variations with a triangle in the middle + one with 2 triangles in the middle for a larger base!!

You can loot it pretty easy at hqm stage with placing a small wood box so that you fall/glide off in direction off the pixel bunker, needs a little bit of practice tho

As an early game alternative to siren light/etc, I was able to use a campfire with a small box diagonally behind it as a way to get into the locker/TC. Put the fire against the wall and the small box just slightly angled and lengthwise toward the wall. Then move left and right on the campfire until one can see through the gap. It took a few tries to understand the angles but works consistently for me now.

I've been trying to take the floor pixel concept and add that to your offset bunker method to make a single 2x2 (or similar) that has it all as an annoying starter base (no doors, hidden large boxes under the floors). I've had middling success and now I need to see if theres a way to use this trick also to make a small starter base (with maybe room for a 2nd floor). The idea of a 2x2 with all these tricks in a single design sounds super fun. Any reason to think these 3 techniques couldn't be combined with each other this way?

Tricks and methods are just tricks and methods. Each has its own upsides and downsides, and in the end, it's all about clever implementation. I think personally I'm better at coming up with methods than implementation though.

I dunno a SUPER SIMPLE method for HQM yet. There are methods for HQM which are inconsistent and take time and practice.

Three sirens stacked on top of eachother on the wall starting from the absolute lowest point guarantees perfect siren placement every time and can be used with HQM walls if done this way.

@@GameLightz forgive me, I didn’t use a campfire, I used the roof method. and after some further testing the most consistent method I’ve found is to place a horizontal siren at the absolute lowest point on the wall, and then place a VERTICAL siren as close to the tip of the horizontal siren on the floor in front of it. Gives you the perfect height and perfect distance from the wall to access every time. (Sometimes looking to the left part of the TC gives easier access)

I don't play rust but I enjoy your videos. Even the how too videos! I can't play I live on a boat so high ping. I could make trap bases I guess. Or ambush but I can't play it the way it's supposed to be played so I never tried. That being said I've also watched Oblivion spoon kid and wiljum videos. And a few more creator's. There are other methods to make it armored. This one, I think, creates too small a gap. But that said, it is very fast and foolproof, so anyone can use it immediately without needing any special items or practice, and it's not hit-and-miss either.

Yes, distance changes things. If you place the siren light on the floor a certain distance from the gap it works as well. There are a few options, but there you go. I don't believe it works with HQM tho, no?

@@GameLightz yeh i tried copying 1 of AIT vids to get the hqm upgrade working but for me it was inconsistent if the gap was big enough. it seems like AIT gets a 2 pixel gap which works for hqm but most of the time i got a 1 pixel gap.

@@GameLightz A really handy trick: Set it up as normal but place the door frame before tc. I have lineups for this, angle the tc towards door, place door before vendy, float the vendy in the socket. If done right this provides you a pixel gapped tc and vendy as before, but the code lock is now accessible! Armored door will make it a 14 rocket minimum from outer angles. Cheers!

I always put a tc and furnace in there. For a row of your best loot. Also a lantern default bp works too for accessing. At the right distance from the wall (if the foundation is sheet metal have the lantern cover the 7th square texture from the wall) once you get the right distance place a bag right up to it and then you can remove the lantern and quickly replace it when logging.

You can only shot it out, but you get like 1 of 10 bullets to the tc and if the siren light isn't there is almost impossible. That's why I use small box to access it, but you need to a align yourself everytime on the edge of the box.

I also have another method, and believe it’s far superior because with a little technique and experience (like cord coordinating and pixel eyeballing) you should be able to work it 100% of the time and yes it does work with HQM

I did, but then I researched it a bit more, and I found that if the gap is tiny enough, it's actually quite impossible. This version produces such a gap. Also, I wasn't thinking about how u actually need to be on the plane of the gap, which isn't actually all that easy to do (hence siren light). You were right, I was wrong

this is a vertical pixel gap. horizontal is along the x/z axis and vertical is on the y axis. this goes up/down so it's vertical.

As I see it, horizontal means "horizon", and the horizon is the x axis. Maybe I'm wrong

i keep seeing people do this.....but yet, still dont see people doing most EASIEST SIMPLE version i do does SAME concept, but requires no pixel gapping. Give ya a clue - requires a ramp .... xd lol
