The rumor is a rumor. Producers have kind of addressed it when they confirmed they had to phase out new characters’ introductions (probably for budget reasons). What applies to Daeron applies to Nettles. She will probably be in season 3. The only thing that is certain is that she won’t make her debut in season 2.

Honestly one the few smart to hear after the episodes (along with Elio and Linda Westeros) because people on the internet are too self righteous, thinking too high of themselves and would not stop “canceling” the characters instead of looking into the complex situation of all, or at least most of them. @@cosmin_budda Without going into too many spoilers, Nettles is one of the dragon riders the Blacks recruit. There's more to her character than someone who rides a dragon, so putting Rhaena in the role drastically changes this part of the story.
