I'll just say playing D as a main the ice tilt is UNREAL when it kicks on...tendy shuts our shots down and ours is non existent...

Very true, ice tilt affects everything in the game when it's on. Defense as a whole is almost non existent and every bounce goes to the other team. That with the pressure gauge system really brings an imbalance to the game.

Honestly huge hits dont happen all the time its really all about a skill sticked. Because the puck can actually be moved with the skates

Right but lots of players are choosing to just go for hip checks because they don't process how to play solid defense, they just want to use what is op. That's why in the past, many players have chosen to use truculence because it was very op. Hip checks are the same right now.

How do you do you tie some one up in front of the net?

You can either hold A (X on Playstation) to do a stick lift tie up, or Y to do a body tie up. Personally I prefer just the stick lift tie because it holds them for a half second or so, and they can't deflect the puck. The body tie works too if your strength is high but depending on the animation and where you're tying him up at, he can move out of it and still deflect.

You should do the same thing but for 6s games. Low level teams and also teams that cut play a lot.

I used to shut down opposing teams time of attack and shots by poke checking & hits. This year they’re both so slow, & when you miss it’s a breakaway

Which requires more precision and timing to succeed. I'll go over this in a future video, but you would need to be more conservative and learn to skate with the man until you feel you can make a play. Staying square with your man is almost non-existent when they go full speed and turning your hips way sooner and skating with them is the way to go. A lot of times i just skate in front of them while with them and use my body to take the puck away and not press anything. And other times, poke checking and body checking is the way to go if the angle is there.

My defense is atrocious! I play Center but on D I’m so unfamiliar with the new controls I think I’m going to take a penalty if I do anything. I understand the learning curve but I just really like the mechanics of Hybrid controls. I feel like I’m playing left handed lol

I got the game since pre order launch and just reinstalled the game because I was just sick of hut and decided to give chel a shot and wtf happened to the hockey bags? Whats everything locked behind battle pass now? Ea is absolutely killing the nhl franchise with greed. I have every ea nhl game from 92 to 24 and I can guarantee you I won’t have 25 next year unless it’s $20 even then I’ll have to think about it!!!

Nothing about this game is an improvement from last year. Everything on r1/rb and Lt/L2 is broken along with the fact that sprint and protect puck is the same input. Absolute Trash.

It is certainly different and lots of people hate the changes that were made. There are major balancing needing to take place. Tough to judge the game in this state. But that only brings more insult to injury to this franchise for not being ready at the start.

Yup I got the duel sense pro and use the paddles for hustle and the right paddle for reverse hit and remove the reverse hit from r3 all together. Well worth the $250
