What does hand-eye do for a defenseman? Does it help intercept passes without Quick Pick?

I think it does yes. Or passes in the air like saucer passes. I think it's important to have up.

Do you tend to keep your back to your mark if he doesn’t have the puck? I always face him, and find that he’ll often receive the pass.

Depends on the spacing and speed to your mark. I always start in a back skate, but as they close the distance getting to full speed is when you might have to turn and skate with them. It takes practice and a feel for the way your man plays.

Hitting got nerfed so bad in the last update that Ones and Threes are unplayable. The hitting animation is so bloody slow and makes no impact most of the time. More lacrosse goals than hits.

Definitely an adjustment but there's a time and place for it. Have to find the angles for when it works and when it doesn't. I will agree that even when you do line it up, it still sometimes doesn't work and glances off. But still, keep working at it and you'll find a groove.

People say they want realism in nhl then also complain that your hits aren’t magnetic to your opponent , maybe hit at a better angle

Any tips on pass interception? I feel as if I constantly miss no matter my positioning(my hand eye is also high).

Interceptions come from positioning, defensive awareness and how close and hard the pass is. Your body position matters. Seeing the puck, blade of your stick to their blade, inside leverage, and two hands on your stick. If you're missing passes, look to your body position, then see how close and powerful the pass was, then look to attributes and up defensive awareness if needed.

How are you canceling your passes? I see the icons appear but then you continue to move and then they disappear. Is that just a game mechanic or are you actually doing something?

When you're holding RT/R2 button down to pass, you can press LB/L1 to cancel it
