A lot of people have been asking me for something like this so I thought I'd talk through a game giving as many tips as I could remember! If you have anything to add please leave comments and I'll add useful information to this comment in the form of an FAQ! FAQ: - How do I use my laser guided bombs, cruise and ballistic missiles? Press P to fire guided munitions. Press P as many times as ordinance you want to use, then left click targets the same amount of times. - How does laser designation work? When you are in direct line of sight and close enough you can laser designate with a unit that has the ability (shown in the unit card). Any laser guided ordance that will land near the target will automatically start tracking a laser designated target.

I put a comment below earlier, but ill do it again, I think it will improve the game play if people start using this properly. By using the shift button you can cue commands, its HUGE. You can set arty to fire and move then fire and move again, you can set transports to take a particular route then drop off troops and return to base, you can move infantry through buildings, building to building and heaps of other things. People need to get the micro under control in the playing so they can concentrate on the valuable powerful stuff, like helicopters and jets. Also people arnt using the ctrl group function as well as the tab through troops. You can use a group like a 5 or 6 units really quickly and effectively by grouping, tabbing through and shift cuing orders. Try bringing a group in just into the map then moving them all under orders in convoys, cool fun and much more effective and tactical, makes using big groups so much easier.

Also if you have all your troops working in groups, if they are in a number of buildings and arty starts falling and you want them all out, its simply a matter of selecting the group and clicking out of the area and they all retreat as one, heaps quicker than selecting each building individually. This game needs serious smart micro to get the most out of the units. That you can set arty to continuously blanket an area, then set troops to move forward from cover to cover, and then set your tank group to follow up the infantry all with keys like shift, ctrl and tab and do it quickly, this game will get full on when people get practice with those mechanics.

Another hint i picked up is that is you que up an attack command, i.e. 'shift q', then the unit/s will move forward through the waypoints until they make contact then stop and fight, then move forward again after they win the battle. With infantry you can move up building by building and as soon as you come into contact they will stop and fight. This means you can move them safely forward pushing the enemy while you concentrate on microing helicopters etc.

everyone misses the shift key cue commands. i.e 6:47 when you unload the troops from the helicopters, after the unload command hit shift then RTB and the chopper will RTB after it drops off the troops. You can que up a few commands so if you needed to avoid aa on the return you can plot it to return in a particular way. There are SOOOO many uses for the shift button and noone is using it.... You can que arty up to fire move the fire then move, or fire multiple times and let it do its thing unless a particular strike mission comes up. if you select your reinforcement vehicle a it first enters the map you can set a round about way to the front, unload and return and it will do it automated.

I think one thing making tanks so dominant is that most of them with Era on the sides are impossible to one-shot for any infantry that doesn't have top-attack. It's very different from Wargame. In BA, tanks are absolutely vicious. One thing I think that most of the Russian tanks have over the American tanks (exception is the M1A1 FEP) is the HE shells, which are absolutely brutal.

Ive watched heaps of people playing this game and by far you are the best ive seen play this game as it is. Your at the level of Supreme Commander while the rest are Captains.. If its broken arrown ill be watching this KZbin for proper War Plans

You are right about the abrams being super strong I just played a game were an abrams of mine took out at least 16 other assorted vehicals, 100% worth the cost although it took a lot of micro so if I wasn't teamed with a friend who was focused on supply and infantry, my arty and vehicles would have been overwhelmed. The Russian pantsir system on the other hand its extremely good, and I cant seem to replicate its effectiveness with any of the American aa systems.

How are you cycling the commands of selected troops? i.e at 25:39 you're placing units in buildings with them all selected but cycling through each one to place into different buildings

I love the UH-1Y, it works well as a pseudo-Mi-24, dropping off infantry, spotting, and supporting the infantry. Just keep it out of the range of IR AA.

THanks for great content :) if i may, add a Pivads-shorad and turn on radar, push it behind of a large building that adds obstruction from harm´s so you can more or less have the patriots online 24/7 cause its gonna direct the missiles to the Pivads-shorad, but wont hit it due to the buildings.. works like a charm.. much love from denmark :)

I've played heaps and this video still helps. I wasn't aware of the prowlers and auto targeting radar AA. Is there a Russian equivalent? I normally just use arty to counter radar aa when they switch it on and use air for bombing runs outside of the initial air fight.

Can we please get a graphics/video settings tutorial? For some reasons, my textures (e.g. trees and building) keep looking jagged and fuzzy when I zoom out. Only when I zoom really close in do the textures actually load in.

I have a question that mabey you can enlighten me on. On several occasions I will spot a lone scout unit behind my lines so I will send in a viper or other hilo to take care of it, but then the heli will get 2-4 shot by the scout. How do i solve this problem? Edit: I think they are probably snipers and I can't really shoot at a distance b/c the momentum I fly away they lose sight.

Problem now there is loads of disconnections and playing with randoms vs team stack is not as fun, I am always going to defend one flank and usually ending up alone 3 v 1, one me defending against coordinated players GG. Yesterday in one match I was alone because everyone Disconnected and it was me vs 3 or 4 other players, wonderful.

Yeah the lobbies seem broken. Everytime I join there is some weird issue with it. It'll same 5/5 players but doesn't list any of the players. Sometimes it doesn't even list my name in the lobby. So I see the Free Slot button and think I have to click it. I try clicking the free slot button but nothing happens. No sound, no popup or anything. Other issues as well but yeah...

There are currently self-propelled howitzers like the Paladin, I'm not sure if the devs plan to add towed guns like the m777

The UI is a turn off, at this camera angle you do not need emblems that large. HUD is pretty cluttered as well
