It’s not a bug, it’s a feature. It’s a custom game where you can make the teams choose any of their decks. You can make your own in “create a lobby”

@@av8bharrier2modified76 it is pretty fun. I like to imagine it’s a Russia v US/ukraine type scenario. They also have some PVE game modes. 2 attack missions and 2 defend missions. Make sure to check those out too!

16:30 Yeah, optics and stealth are pretty broken. From what I've gathered, optics outside of the really powerful stuff on the drones does basically nothing for you tactically. In WARNO, you'd definitely notice the optical abilities of your units. The fact that the Bradley couldn't spot a whole tank firing in the trees is pretty dumb; I hope they fix that later on.

Vulcan if you micro the afterburner and altitude changing with some really sharp sudden turns, you can usually keep a plane alive. Take it from someone who has strictly been playing air only decks for the last two weeks or so! You can throw off the tracking on those SAM missiles pretty easily with some competent micro control Edit: after completing the video, the precision guided bombs change isn’t that significant. You just have to devote like 10-15 seconds of micro’ing the plane to get the bombs out and safely.

Something I learned in the first beta is that planes launch their weapons somewhat realistically and also respect line of sight. Which means that you can, AND SHOULD, pop up for attacks and then go back down to the deck ASAP if you are using any weapon that´s not meant for dumb bomb runs. If you are a Marine player using Harriers, for example, and you are using Snake Eyes and cluster bombs at the moment, then sure: go in flying down to the deck, drop bombs and get out. But if you are using Maverick missiles, for example, you should go in at low altitude... and at the right moment pop up just as much as you need, then go back down. That will put your plane mostly looking at the target so you can fire, with no obstacles in the way like low buildings or trees, and it will also reduce your signature as much as possible without sacrificing the effectiveness of the attack.

I like to just fly low, flare right before bombs are thrown and hit afterburners on the turn out. The flares usually defeat at least the first missile fired and with afterburners they usually can’t catch up without traveling through a ton of flares and losing the plane

@@katamariroller2837 I've been using harriers as maverick slingers and they actually will fly up on their own to dive with them if they come in flying low onto target, which is nice

Im pretty sure that we'll get Germany and France, then, maybe, Great Britain and Italy, perhaps also Serbia could be an interesting pick because they also have some quirky units that you can't find in Russia. If developers decide to represent not just US and European powers, but Asia and Africa as well, there's no way we'll not see China, their military is so diverse, perfect for this game. On top of that, i'd say, Iran is cool, South Korea and North Korea are good contenders as well.

You can place your patriot onto a control group if you want to keep it off, so you can use keybinds to turn it on quickly.

I was the guy who got nuked late game. I had quite a serious infantry build on that cap and ouch did it hurt 😂 The 4 of us were a pre made and were screaming at the start of the game when we saw the nuke coming in and managed to take it out at the last second! 😂 Gg

Yo vulkan, im playing a lot, having fun, and i notice than been a support with artillery, antiaircraft and some good tanks and infantery frontloading is my favorite playstyle, but i wanna learn to use helis and planes, if you can do a tutorial or something to teach the hotkeys and the way to use aircraft in general properly could be nice. You seem to know all the quirks of airplanes, like if my bombing run would have missed that badly i would hav no idea what went wrong.. I have tried to find a guide on air planes and how to use them, what attack mode to use with different missiles but so far i have only found nuggets of gold in 40 + min videos and honestly most of that gold is from you, so I guess what I'm asking is would you consider doing an in depth air guide for BA? Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the gold nuggets :)

Ive been trying out planes myself and heres what i can tell. Laser guided bombs are dropped using the precision strike P. If you got regular bombs you gotta select L and drag you designated target area, or click once for a basic run. If you have guns and air to ground missiles equipped on your plane you use K for a strafing run on the target to fire these. I havent fully figured out the clicking thing on the precision strike but heres a good tip. Press the strike once on your target and after use the strike in shift on multiple targets. This way you avoid precision striking shift click after your move order making the plane go somewhere it wont do your desired bombing run

@yuojang7499 Thanks for the tip, precision striking and dogfighting are the only things I have tried so far with mixed results but strafeing runs are really confusing, ive seen people use it on positions close to targets and the missiles seem like they automatically shoot at whatever is close to the target area, but what if you lose line of sight last sec will they just not fire or will they hit the ground can you specificly target high value units or will my missiles choose to hit a 40p kamaz instead of the 400p armata?

@@MarvinMerten-t7x As soon as the strafing run starts it will fire at any targets yes, if you right click an enemy the plane will automatically try and strafe that target, regarding to the missiles hitting that has to do with what missiles you shoot, if im correct the air to ground missiles for both factions are semiactive. I'm not an army expert but that should mean that they kinda guide themselves when fired, compared to when you shoot a hellfire fireandforget missile

@@MarvinMerten-t7x when i used my air support, artillery support deck i was getting pretty good kd's. The problem you have is that you invest into calling in strikes on enemies and not holding a frontline. If the enemy catches on to this or just decided to push you kinda f'ed

You can go 10% over in each category but can't go over 10k points in total There's no debuff or anything if you go 10% over

yeah! why nor resupply them, looks like waste of points, it will take a while to have it back from respawn, and you can quickly resupply with transport helicopter

The game is fun but feel like the balancing is way off, specifically when it comes to engagement ranges. I realize the devs don’t want a warno size game however certain units just needs that standoff range because they’re just too squishy

Definitely cant always judge by elo. I have low elo (1500) from playing with my irl friends who are garbage at the game. But when I solo que I always beat out 1700+

I love the idea of this game, but it seems oddly micro focused for something with such a limited set of unit abilities. That’s great for playing in a team with a specific focus, but otherwise it looks like a recipe for lost units and games - all because the unit AI is dumb as bricks.

@@getserious4958Yes, I think "different" is the best description as things stand at the moment. However, I do think that Broken Arrow clearly has more potential in the long run, due to the rich set of features that its developers have added on top of what WARNO already offered, its near-future setting and what looks like an actual decent single-player story component. WARNO, on the other hand, already felt like a Cold War copy of Steel Division II (released 2019) when it came out to early access and it feels like hardly anything substantial has changed since then. It's therefore quite hard to see where an effectively 5 year old game can go in the years ahead, aside from the usual DLC battlegroups, which only the diehard fans will really care about.

Not for me. Actually I find myself disliking almost every choice made in BA beyond the basic concepts. Too much health, LOS sucks, optics suck, bombing is way too fiddly, maps too big for the number of units etc etc.

@@XMysticHerox To be fair, a lot of that stuff can be worked out through balancing i.e it's not a fundamental limitation of the game. I think probably the most questionable design choice for me is the way battlegroups are made up of combination of two divisions. I always felt like one of the novel things about deck building in WARNO was the way that different divisions actually play very differently from one another and you have to work out the strengths and weaknesses of each one to come up with an appropriate playstyle/strategy to make that division work. The fact that you can combine specialised divisions in BA to get an overlapping, or universal, set of capabilities kind of defeats the point of having distinct divisions in the first place, in my opinion, as when it comes to actual matches, you'll basically see the same strategies employed every time (because the battlegroups don't force people down a particular playstyle), which makes the gameplay start to feel stale very quickly.

Im testing the game but it has major bug that is dangerous to your hardware, be aware!!! In game menus, like the hangar menu for example, the GPU goes to maximum load for no reason. Nothing happens in menu, during gameplay all is fine. RTX3090. Anyone else noticed?
