Dimash is just amazing isn’t he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums kick in. It’s so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of Ave Maria at the request of Dimash. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Dimash is unmatched. Every song he sings is like opening a Pandora’s box because you never know what he is going to do with his amazing voice. You should react to Ikanaide, Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021. Hi Wally, always look forward to watching your Dimash reactions! For me, Ave Maria is traditionally a Catholic hymn or song, this is a vocalise, without lyrics. I feel that this is a Prayer for Humanity without the boundaries of language or religion, just for everyone. Dimash had asked Igor to make this arrangement and it’s truly heavenly and angelic, if you notice the initial sounds are the sounds of nature, then you hear the heartbeat , when the heartbeat ends Dimash’s eyes close and then he starts singing a cappella, sounding like an angel, after the first verse, the piano comes in, then the choir sounding like a choir of angels. Indescribably beautiful, and utterly sublime - in fact I wouldn't be surprised to discover that after his performance, Dimash came across a whole queue of celestial angels backstage, all begging him for singing lessons! That mind-blowing last note of his btw, is known as a "messi da voce", and widely regarded as the ultimate test of singing ability - and on a soprano high C (C6) too, like - that's INSANE! Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

This is indeed a song about Ave Maria. This is Dimash's version of her. The story of Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, but NOT a prayer song devoted to her as the Christians do. As they believe her to be a divine figure. He is telling a story about a pious Jewish girl named Mary. And she was the only woman mentioned by name many times in the Quranic Scripture. Therefore it is appropriate for Dimash to sing per his Islamic belief.
