The fact that half of the fandom is actively trying to gaslight the other half into not buying the game by saying lies like “it’s exactly like Valhalla” or “there are only 2 or 3 kill animations” is insane, I swear there’s no way you can please AC fans, you guys are worse than Star Wars fanboys, the game is great, and that’s coming from someone who hated Odyssey and thought Valhalla was mid as hell

exactly, and a lot of people seem to forget that despite being light years ahead of the competition in terms of graphics, unity was terrible when it was released, and it took a long time for ubisoft to fix it, even then it´s still clunky and unreliable nowadays. yes, mirage has terrible facial animations, but the graphics are great and the overall movement system and stealth is way more consistent and less buggy than unity. if the cutscenes were all mocapped, and the story was more engaging, it´d definitely be on my top 3 AC games of all time@RBEDITZ356

Dark souls combat style have unfortunately taken over majority of action games. I like dark souls games but they always leave me dissatisfied with the combat itself. It’s challenging but it doesn’t really look cool or make you feel like a badass like the og ac games and Arkham/Mordor games did. I’d say that hogwarts legacy has had the most fun combat out of any game this year. Someone needs to figure out a combat system that’s challenging AND looks cool.

Unity was bad because of the bugs and glitches. and somewhat of a lackluster story. nothing else. so 95% of the people were right to be critical of it. unless you want a broken game, that's your choice. Unity was Cyberpunk 2077 basically.

they are good enough for an AC game, it is super challenging on harder modes as the routes take longer to execute, guards look into common hidey spots (at least that's what I think through my run so far) and there is a shorter window to assassinate enemies if caught. Apart from that, enemies have other behavior's that they didn't dominantly have in other AC games, for example, if you are running through a crowd in a restricted area, the guards tend to notice a disturbance in the crowd and slowly approach if you stay in their line of sight. Moreover, they also notice simple things like the disturbance of animals, for instance mules & birds as well and investigate the disturbance. The enemy AI of this game may not be any last of us 2 level design, but it does the trick into immersing you and rewarding you in the right circumstances. In short, compare the AI to the other entries in the AC series and then make a comment instead of looking at other games and comparing it to them. Just pointing that out.

Tbh, Mirage isn't that bad even though they used the same engine from Valhalla. I quite enjoyed it and it really felt like I was finally playing a proper Assassin's Creed game after Syndicate (maybe Origins as well)

100% agree. The engine is fst gsrbage. I installed origins after playing for mirage a bit both on ps5 and origins looks better graphically. Movement wise, it seems a bit sluggish compared to mirage so its a bit awkward. But graphics wise origins is definiteky better.

Fanboys have been making countless excuses for this game. This is the most phoned in and lazy ac release to date. They returned to the roots but forgot to do anything else, let alone even attempt to meet the standard already set by previous old style ac entries. Shouldve stayed a smaller priced valhalla dlc, not a 50 dollar standalone release, shits ridiculous.

Ubisoft Bordouex is a new and small studios with limited budget and time to develop AC Mirage. Yet they still deliver a good AC games after bloated RPG series for a long time, no one says it was a perfect game but give credit when it is due. If you want to blame, blame the CEO and other higher ups for allocating limited budget to them. 50 dollars is considered reasonable price and AC Mirage didn't have major game breaking bug issues and good graphic optimization on first day launch compared to many other AAA games released this year. Lol, Miles Morales charged 50 dollars for 7 hours main story, why Sony fanboys like you didn't mocks it?
