I seriously hope that Valhalla features a fleshed our world as opposed to just a big one. I did like AC Odyssey, but the world was just too big and honestly it just felt like a chore to explore at times. A good open world shouldn’t annoy you with exploration.

With Yakuza I'm pretty sure the main reason it feels so large while being such a small map, is that litterally every street you go down you find a substory that is just really memorable some of them being really goofy, it's just one of those games where you don't think you'll enjoy but the more time you put into the more you start to actually feel for each character. In my opinion it feels like each character you meet is unique, they each have their own charm to them in such different ways, honestly for the first hour I didn't really care for it, it wasn't until the game shows you how the character has so much more to him than just the main story, but you also have all these small character defining things that come together to make it a truly loveable game

I always loved the small open world levels from the sly cooper series. It was a ton of fun simply running around the rooftops and fighting the guards. Especially when you get the slowmotion ability

Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper...seems a lot of the earlier Playstation exclusives handled open worlds really well despite their hardware limitations I’ve always been a fan of exploring smaller worlds/zones that are connected to a larger hub world & I wish more games nowadays would utilize this

I want to toss in my appreciation for Agents of Mayhem. It's fun getting up on top of some of the high-up buildings and getting the collectibles hidden up there, and of course just cruising the streets looking to pick a fight with LEGION.

I love Arkham City and it's my favorite game, but I think that it kinda diluted the atmosphere and feel that Asylum had. I mean, Asylum was full of insane stuff and on my first playthrough, I thought I was going to be attacked at each corner by a psychopath. City just lacked that, but still, it's the greatest Superhero game, at least in my opinion.
