There has been an argument for ages over whether these are legendary dogs, or legendary cats. Some people, decide to call them the legendary dogs (like me) others, are the opposite. In TES V Skyrim the civil war was supposed to be huge. There would be random battles between 10-30 npcs each faction in random encounter sections. You could lose territory, and the territory gaining process had you raid each city and claim all forts. This is more worthy than ghosts.

Thankfully there IS a mod that mostly restores this... but of course, it's not 100% because that cut content was never totally finished. Still cooler than the mourning thing though, even if that does make the world a bit more believable.

I believe Dishonored 2 actually had similar buildings with the massive tarps draped over the façade to quaratine buildings with bloodfly nests. I still remember entering through a window and hearing just that constant buzz. Super eerie.

In the Deus Ex human revolution directors cut, the devs mentioned that they were working on a "college campus" style map in upper Hengsha but it got scrapped because they were already inundated with writing dialogue or something like that, so they cut that part. It would've been great to see upper Hengsha outside of the Tai Yong medical building.

I think part of the mourning aspect stayed in Skyrim... The blacksmith in the first town had a daughter, he died when a dragon attacked the city, every time I was there the girl stayed by her dead father side, and usually saying "My father is gone, I don't know what to do." So I built a house get married and adopted her. First time a game touched me like this...

If you play the game, you will quickly understand how absolutely, unfathomably impossible it would be to develop that game for both VR and KBM. I can understand hating on console exclusives. There's no reason, outside of money, for Gears of War to be stuck on Xbox or Horizon to be stuck on PlayStation. But hating on Alyx just shows that you either don't understand what they did with that game, or you don't care about the future/evolution of videogames.

I wouldn't expect a good VR game to work very well with traditional controls, and by most reports Alyx is a good VR game, it's just a shame it's so exclusionary when it ties directly into another unfinished story that so many have been eagerly anticipating.

Re your comment about London being dense in the drawing: once upon a time London really was that dense. There were streets so narrow that buildings on opposite sides basically touched one another. It’s one of the reasons why the Great fire spread so easily and so far.

Regarding #10. London was very densely populated and closed in at that time period. The Great fire that happened that year was so destructive for this reason. The upshot was that it allowed parts of the city to be rebuilt and more pleasant and open (within reason)

In the concept art for RE2R, Plant 43 would've acted as a actual attacking boss tree then just a jungle chamber. It would've had vines & tentacles that had mouths to attack the player, and eyes to watch them run down to its root. I wished it was a boss that you can fight.

Legacy of Kain series in general has tons of cut content, enough to have either beefed up the games they were cut from several times over, if not also make several more games individually. One particular cut content from the second game, Soul Reaver 1, was possession. This power was meant to be acquired from a cut character called the Priestess, who was a human that worshiped and idolized Kain. Raziel would have been able to kill her like not unlike his brethren and gain her soul, enabling him to possess the enemies of the game. The ability was cut, likely due to the fact that there was no real benefit from controlling the enemies aside from probably using them to kill their own allies and possibly open obstacles for Raziel.

On The Last Of Us puppy companion: a few months back Naughty Dog posted a tweet of a dog in a mo-cap suite. (A tweet that literally nobody talked about). The only other time a game company has went through the trouble (and resources) of mo-capping a dog was in Metal Gear V, which has a companion dog. There's also an official poster of TLOU2 with Joel and a dog. So it's a pretty safe bet that it's a sure thing. And no; Fallout uses key animation as does Red Dead.

I love what they did with RE2 remake. But as far as the kid enemies the game hints at them, if you play Claire and get to the Orphanage. *SPOILERS* You find 2 notes one down stairs one in the bathroom upstairs. One is a dairy from a kid talking about getting adopted and that his only friend was adopted but then returned one day all disfigured and deformed looking for help. The one in the bathroom talks is from the Umbrella employees talking about how the orphanage is actually a front and they experiment on children and because the one escaped they had to kill him and kill all the children in the orphanage. Its depressing. Its also frustrating how little Mr. X actually effected the story. Unlike the original you don't even see him transform into Super Tyrant which is unfortunate and the fact Claire never fights Super Tyrant is annoying. Or the fact every boss was Birkin. But the game is still amazing.

Playing Dishonored always felt like an alternate reality of London. Of course, I didn't know that prior to this video. You know what assume means...? As for dark and bleak games/moments, they need to be made. Face it: life isn't always puppy dogs and sunshine. That's a trope I have seen in movies or read in literature. In a sense, being dark and bleak is more tangible/real life than having everything coming out fine/okay. From personal experience, I can tell all of you things are not fine/okay.

Okay I wanna give you (drunkenly) an insight into AAA game Dev. When any project ships, in a large studio, another project is in development (dark souls and Bloodborne). We always do "integration" to take the best code and scripting from our previous game that may be reused in subsequent games. Obviously we don't always take all ideas concepted from previous games and fully flesh them out, but this is still why cool models for dark souls make it into Bloodborne files, and stuff labeled "Dragons" made it into fallout 76. This is not laziness, it's sharing technology between teams, so we can ship games in 2-6 years, instead of redoing "all the things" every 3-9 years. Sorry concepts look cool, but you'll never ship a game unless you cut stuff. 3d models are cheep and fast to make. Figuring out how to make an encounter fun, and unique, is not.

I don't think I could have handled 2 hours of atreus jerk mode I hated the short time he was a jerk 2 hours would have made me quit the game I think.

The mourning is still in skyrim... Also, graves get added when someone dies.

Yeah, if the blacksmith woman from Whiterun dies, her husband takes over the shop and talks about it. He even mentions how his weapons aren't as good as the ones she used to make. That's just one example I remember because always died to vampire attacks, lol.

I remember when there was an idea for a GTA Game I think it was? That was gonna be the entire Country of USA and its roadways and buildings in the game, and I always heard it was just gonna be an exact replica that you could drive around and shit in.

Aparently there was a feature on TES:Skyrim, where you could build your character as anything, not just a stealthy-archer-illusion. Shame they cut that. They left in the skill trees for two handed, heavy armour etc just to tease what could have been.
