I’ll review all these new maps here because why not. *Aetius* This map kinda reminds me of Meso, but you have to bridge linearly to diamonds and mid is more far away this time. It’s pretty fast but not hyper-sweaty, and it’s not easy at all to get stacked on it. *Arcade* I was absolutely mesmerized by this map at first, but it fell on me with time. The first rush is 32 if you rush from that small window at the back of the base, and 48 if you do it from the bed area, and the overall layout reminds me of Lightstone but with a cool archipielago in the diamond island zone that connects everything more without forcing you to go mid. Still, every rush other than the first one is 64 blocks considering that you’ll probably have to build up, and it’s the map where I’ve seen the most obby of the eight. *Arid* My least favorite map of the update, yet still pretty solid. It tends to a slow playstyle, but if the queue is sweaty games are more fun, challenging and fast-paced. Still, it’s one of my go-to choices for a slower game than what I usually like. *Casita* This revamp is simply awesome. The first rush is 32 blocks and very well defined, and after that there’s a ring of islands before mid that really reduce bridging. Bases, diamonds and mid are all perfectly designed and it’s a pretty fast map that requires little bridging, top 5 Bedwars maps. *Keep* Literally Zarzul 2 but with diamonds in the position of Serenity. It requires fewer bridging so I give it the slight edge over Zarzul tho. Just like Casita, bases, diamonds and mid are all amazing and it looks like a really cooked map. *Nebuc* This map is pretty much Toro but with diamonds placed like in Serenity too. Another fast, sweaty map with an inner ring that really reduces bridging, probably a top 5 map too. INCOMPARABLY better than Babylon. *Slumber* Okay, this update had some absolutely elite maps, but none of them compare to Slumber. Finally, the Hypixel admins released a completely PERFECT map. Both rushes are direct 32s, diamonds are close to mid but not right inside it and it’s extremely fast and sweaty, probably the fastest map we’ve ever seen. Slumber is my new favorite map in the entire game and earns a score of 11/10. What a heavenly masterpiece of a map. *Vigilante* Out of the three skyscraper maps, Vigilante is by far the best. I’d compare it to Lucky Rush but with shorter rushes, so it’s instantly a better version of it. It’s fast, takes little bridging and it’s HEAVEN for clutching. I also have the intuition that the half obby trick could actually be effective here thanks to the walls of leaves in the bases. So overall, this is their best map pack by far, having my favorite map in the entire game (Slumber) and 5 other S tier maps. Arcade and Arid are the only maps that I wouldn’t consider top tier, but both of them are still a solid A tier nevertheless. Hopefully the admins keep going with maps like these, they’re in their prime.
