i was too scared to play any difficulty other than peaceful back in 2011. i slowly started putting the difficulty to easy and watching the mobs in the desert at night from my glass tower. eventually 11 year old me got brave enough to go down and fight the creepers in the day after the undead mobs burned to death. creepers were my first introduction to hostile mobs and it was so terrifying to me lol

The mobs in basic mc are easy. I can counter a skele, kite a pack of zombies, and spider proof a house. But the moment I see creepers even after 5 years of playing I turn around and run. They are the most dangerous mob in my opinion.

As much as I know how infamous creepers are, they aren't the mob I hate the most. I hate skeletons a lot more and even they aren't the mob I hate the most. That honour belongs to the phantoms, nothing is worse than a mob that flies.

@Neo Alteisen If you're careful and you stay cautious, you'll never get blown up by a creeper. If you know what creepers are and you know what they do, you'll only get killed by a creeper if they catch you off guard. Sure, you can bring dog or a cat but that doesn't change the fact the skeleton and phantoms are annoying and hateable. What if you don't have a dog or a cat? Sometimes the game just decides not to spawn a wolf or an ocelot. Phantoms aren't even that much of a threat to you. They're just annoying. They prevent you from being efficient at night and they created the worst of the Minecraft community who claim "JuSt SlEeP aNd ThEy WoN't SpAwN!" despite the fact you won't always have a bed like if there's no sheep to shear or it's a skyblock map. As for the other mobs. Spiders and zombies aren't even a threat unless the zombies outnumber you. As for witches, just rush them. You get right up close to them and keep attacking them, they'll focus on healing rather than throwing a poison potion.

@@thanatosvorigan4986 but the thing is, zombies's speciality is outnumbering as they have the second highest sight range which they can see you 42 blocks away.(for an example creeper and skeleton's sight range are 16 blocks) To phantoms I won't say sleep, I will say use bow as secondary weapon. Their hp is not high so if they really annoy you, just shoot them. For skeletons just rush like witches. You can dodge that arrows even on hard and their attack speed is not the best. But yeah spider never was threat. It's not annoying unlike skeleton or phantom, It's not attacks in group unlike zombies, and it has lower hp. Spider is just there.
