Not really. It seemed to be mostly non-Americans explaining it to their (presumably) non-American viewers. Subway doesn’t have a global monopoly, so there’s no reason for a lot of people to know who Jared is.

So my parents owned and operated a Subway while I was growing up and for anyone who wants to know the truth of how Jared lost all his it goes like this. The nearest Subway to his apartment was 4 or 5 miles away. Everyday when he would eat there, he walked to and from. So yeah he did eat right (sort of) at Subway, but most if not all of his weight loss came from just plain exercise. Also, apparently my Dad met him one time and when he shook his hand he immediately got a weird feeling from him. He said his handshake was really soft like shaking a kids hand. Make of that what you will.

You can eat healthy at Subway if you know exactly what to get. Subway isn't this place where you will definitely eat more healthy no matter what you get like people still think it is. Still though, eating the right stuff at subway and exercising can definitely help. Also, apartment? I think someone who was a basically a mascot for a massive fast food chain wouldn't live in an apartment. I didn't expect a mansion, but an apartment? Unless this was before he got big.
