Ye, 1 of a few reasons I like og DB over Z, Z Kai, Super etc, the old school art, another reason being it was an adventure, wasn't just about fighting, when a fight happens it felt fun, special, and like there were stakes. When Krillin and Roshi died, that the Dragon Balls can only bring a person back once Goku vs Yamcha, one of the only times someone has ever beaten Goku (more than I can say for Vegeta lol), Yamcha in general was fun, cool, and one of the strongest fighters. Goku vs Tien. Fighting a bunch of spooky Halloweeny monsters that led up to him finally reuniting with his Grandpa Gohan's ghost. The death of his Nimbus, getting a new Nimbus, Goku vs Jackie Chun resulting in the moon being blown up. A lot of good times... which is also why I'm curious to know if GT isn't as bad as people let on. I haven't watched it since I was a kid, I remember the important arc the Shadow Dragon arc, and the ending felt fitting. Anything before that I don't remember. I kind of dread going back and rewatching it and people are right about it, but... maybe that's why, because it had less fighting and was more to DB's roots of adventuring.
