For me, completing games 100% is a rarity anymore and i actually did 100% complete games, when i was younger, now that I'm older, its just enough to finish the game instead and go back to the games when I'm in the mood to and still keep my sanity and stresses in tact and under control. Having PTSD from deploying to Afghanistan and being in the army, reminds me to know my limits and not try to push them at any cost if possible. I'm permanently unemployable due to this and rely upon VA compensation for my financial means. I still play through Diii regularly or even Victor Vran Motorhead DLC, knowing that I'm not looking to complete the game, rather just play the game and enjoy them.

For FFXIV, I'd say even completing the in game achievement list would be a chore. That would mean maxing out every class, along with the respective Zodiac weapon. Just that alone would be a slog, but there's also the sightseeing log, PvP, Grand Company, Gold Saucer, etc. The game is an example of giving you a lot to do, but not expecting you to do everything. EDIT: Just going to add that the game does have Trophies on PS4/5. They do have a tedious grind to them, but that could qualify as completion, if you so choose.

Even among some of my favorite games of all time, like Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy 9, the Dot Hack series, and some others, I couldn't see myself "Completing" them, due to just how nigh impossible a task it would be, given some challenges or criteria that are required for such. It's Red Dead Redemption 2 for me. Amazing game, but so much you need to explore.

Bring back Spoilers section, was such a dumb move when you made that decision to get rid of them, like why? Who was complaining about them? Why try to fix what isn't broken

Completing games was something I loved doing. Hell, I still enjoy doing it. A few of my friends like doing it too, maybe not as much as me. Racing games are usually my favorite ones to complete. It really depends on the requirements. There will always be a fair share of games where completing it isn't satisfying. Your mileage may vary. From my experience, only less than half the games I play were left incomplete. Replaying them isn't worth it most of the time. Although, I may come back to them in the future. Usually, it's because I don't have any better games to play. Don't assume the experience will be any better though.
