You know my heart's breaking for The Brent, I'm sending out all the positive vibes that I can and hope he'll be back in full effect before too long. But what a great job you did here Amigo Aaron. I actually thought that Brent phoning in his thoughts worked pretty well. It was a very enjoyable show. Keep up the good work. PS - I don't think I knew that you were a Prisoner fan!!

Sending love and prayers to The Brent - be strong brother. And Aaron - thank you for committing to doing the show alone - you probably don't fully realise how much we appreciate what you, The Brent and Boat do with all the shows. Thank you all.

Moon Patrol was a great favorite of mine back in the day. Also, I was worked as tech support and play tester on several versions of Rocket Ranger. The guy on the cover was one of the artists at Cinemaware. The woman is of course intended to be Betty Page. The game started as adaptation of Dave Steven's 'Rocketeer' comic series. His editor at Eclipse Comics had something against games and talked him out of doing the license. So the company did an original character instead but kept the Betty Page look of the female lead because the founder of the company, Bob Jacob, really wanted that.

WOW! So you worked on RR..man that's awesome. I bet that was an exciting time to be in the biz! I love the art on that game btw. As for Moon Patrol, no doubt it's an all time classic and a favorite of mine as well.

That’s why I always say 1984 was the last year of the golden age of arcade games.

Hey man, much love! We appreciate it! Also, when's the new episode coming out, brother!?

There was a sequel to Moon Patrol called Horizon, that I had never heard of until I stumbled across it accidentally in MAME one day. It's basically an updated game with multiple planes you can jump between And is shown at about 36:20 in this video =)

Very good! However, I avoid getting into that 1CC vibe so I don't go crazy trying hahaha!

Yeah..that's the way I usually do it. One thing different in the arcade is the FEEL of just having a few coins to last as long as you can...it's hard to replicate at home.

I could beat these in one credit back in the day. Now, no chance. Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja, ESWAT, Midnight Resistance, Heavy Barrel, Wrestlefest, Golden Axe. Misspent youth. Could go to my local arcade called Wizards with a buck and be there all day long if I just played these games.
@AmigosRetroGaming2 ай бұрын
Man, some good games there! I have beat Wrestlefest on a credit, but I covered that one already!

I just played Killer Instinct 2 and Soul Calibur 2 all day. Could go longer if people kept challenging me if just against the computer it be about 5 bucks to play all day. Sadly fighting games are not that long. But these 2 where the ones I was the best at ever. I got pretty good at Bad Dudes as well but I still think it took me a continue or 2 at my best.

I beat Xevious on one quarter in the arcade back in the day and I was on top of the world - greatest gamer evaaaaaar! It was actually not that hard as there wasn't much to shoot at - just a lot of dodging of bullets and the metal panels that would rotate. I watched a longplay on youtube and you can beat it in 20 minutes. lol
