The sega genesis has the perfect balance of being relatively easy to program and being old and having it's own "quirks". There's this really cool SDK called SGDK for it that allows you to program for the genesis in C instead of assembler, and comes with a really powerful audio driver.

26:14 - "There weren't many physical copies produced and it goes for a pretty hefty sum these days" Literally the last one sold on eBay was mine over a month before this video was uploaded. ;) Original owner. I had to go check and see if GameSack bought my copy but, nope, it went to an international buyer. I never wanted to get rid of it but I needed the money. :( 26:42 - "Then you point the gun at the screen and pull the trigger and test your luck" This game does not even require a CRT screen to point and you normally point OFF the screen to try your luck (simulate pointing at your own head) except in a certain condition as mentioned below. 26:52 - "Oh, and here's a tip: don't point the gun direcrly at the cowboy otherwise he will shoot you" Not if you shoot him first. ;) He only shoots you in the case when there is no bullet in the chamber and you would have been better off pointing it at yourself. Basically, he has the same odds as you. You can press a button to target the cowboy or other items in the scene using the controller if you don't have a CRT. If you think the next chamber has a bullet or if you are sure of it after enough trigger pulls with no spin, you can spin and lower your risk or take a more calculated risk and hopefully kill the cowboy instead. If you are wrong and the chamber was empty then he will get angry and shoot you but, then again, just about anything can anger him to that point. Try spinning the chamber over and over without taking a shot and he will eventually get angry, lose patience, and shoot you. :D

14:28 Well, "the only one ever" might be a stretch, cuz I've seen Brain Age and just recently learned that Bandai's very own WonderSwan can also go on its side, which I learned because in Rockman and Forte 2: Challenger from the Future, sorry, should it be called "Challenger of the Dimensions", Aircon Man's stage is played sideways until you get to his boss fight. ADDENDUM: 14:33 He shows a half-second of Hotel Dusk. That was that other game that I musta been thinking about, but couldn't remember anything about it other than "it's a detective game and was special because it's sideways, like Brain Age".
