What an awesome dad. When I was growing up, the only thing my dad did was sit on the coach and ask what the hell he was watching as I played my NES. And ask when he could get the TV again. In those days, I was like 5 years old and didn't have my own TV lol. The Mega Man series are my fondest memories from playing my NES. Mega Man 2 and 3 were my favorites. I never had the original one. I really enjoy the older AGDQ events. When they were smaller scales and more personal. A bunch of gamers sitting around a TV and running awesome games, while getting donations. Now it's turned into a larger event with bigger audiences and I think it lost a little bit of it's intimacy. It's still great don't get me wrong, just for different reasons. There's something awesome about the old GDQ setting though. It just reminds me of my childhood, I guess. Me and the kids around the neighborhood all huddling around a TV and an NES...everyone would bring their games over to one place, and we'd have like 20+ games to play...and we'd spend ALL day on summer days doing it lol. Taking turns on the controllers, trading off on deaths, etc. Great times.
