This song has definitely become a status symbol of "Jeopardy!". But, for those that don't know, on NBC in the late 70s was broadcasted "The All-New Jeopardy!" who's the only version of the program to completely discard this song. And that's simply because "Final Jeopardy!" was replaced by a short-lived bonus board called "Super Jeopardy!" (not to be confused with the 1990 tournament of the same name) which is mainly based on Bingo.

I don't need to tell you how much all of the American versions' music cues are classic. I will give my thoughts on the foreign counterparts, though: Australian version (4:17) - Sounds like generic elevator music. German version (4:48) - Sounds almost like a tune from a generic reality show. Polish version (5:17) - Sounds like the opening notes of Fox's "Don't Let Fox Weekend Pass You By" promo from the 80s. French-Canadian version (5:48) - Sounds like music from a stage in Bomberman Hero on the N64. Russian version (6:18) - See my thoughts on the German tune. Turkish version (6:50) - Artificial-Thunder was right-- it sounds like something a PARODY of Jeopardy! would be using to avoid copyright claims. UK version (7:22) - Trevor Martin was right-- it sounds like something from a horror movie. (Though it kinda reminds me of the old Simitar Entertainment jingle...)

The Australian version sounds like the town/shop theme of a JRPG that takes place in modern times. Instead of thinking of a response, I'm thinking "Should I buy 99 herbs for the next dungeon? Are there poisonous enemies? Maybe some antidotes? I could use a new sword and some new armor..."

I have thoughts of other variants JEP! - Catchy Rock and Roll- Sounds familiar to jep! But it’s good Sports- Sounds like a taping of a 1950s marching band 1. Sounds different 2. JEP’s think music is catchy, Rock n Roll Jeopardy’s think music was used for special tournaments for the main show, the Sports Jeopardy think music, to me, sounds cheap and does not sound like a marching band! It sounds like something anyone could make on their iPhone or Android phone! Australia’s think music is forgettable! Va Banque’s think music is just classy! Canada’s Jeopardy think music sounds like it came from an eighties aerobics class! Russia’s think music is just epic! Turkey’s think music sounds like it is trying and failing to be the American version of the Jeopardy think music and was recorded in a library! The United Kingdom’s think music is epic, if you can ignore that the host is talking over it telling you the rules that we already know!

Merv Griffin wanted the Final Jeopardy! music to be calm and soothing. The British version's was anything but that. Germany's was also an intense one though not as intense as the British one. It would've been nice, however had you ended this with France's version from the 80s and early 90s. It was very similar to the American 1997 version.
