GameSir G7 SE update 6.25 messed up the trigger pull.

The latest update, 6.25, to the GameSir firmware, has caused about 40% of the trigger pull to be useless. This is a pain for braking and acceleration in racing games. But there is a fix!

my LT says its on when im not touching it, i calibrated my controller and it still doesnt work. any thoughts why?

Did you try a manual calibration? That's what fixed my trigger issues. I had an issue where one of my triggers was constantly activated. Instructions are here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHezpqSmn86Nnacsi=E5dDWVfkFSJ-lAds If your problem started after an update, you may want to get on GameSir's Discord and ask for the downgrade file and instructions for the last version that worked on your controller.

The easiest thing to try first is a different cable, because the cables they send with them are no good and mess up quickly. The next thing would be trying a manual calibration of the controller. I made a video on that.

I updated my controller but it said update failed and just turned my controller off and it won’t turn back on. Is there a way to fix this?

What version did you update yours to? I just updated mine about 10 minutes ago to the latest, v6.28. mine still turns on, but is unusable. I recorded the process and I'll work on getting it up soon to warn others.

I put the usb in the xbox and the controller but it just won’t turn on

@@CosmicSSC try a different USB port on the Xbox and if that doesn't work, try a different cable. The factory cables have sometimes had connectivity issues... You could also try connecting it to a PC to see if it works there. If it works on PC, then there may be an issue with your Xbox.

@@Luscombag yea but they made the controller so u can only put their cable into the controller usb port: edit - I tried it with a different cable and it still won’t work the cable I used always works with. A normal Xbox controller

@@CosmicSSC my factory cable have me issues, so I'm currently using a Rayovac brand cable I got from Dollar General. It's working fine. The biggest problem with finding a cable is some USB C ends are too wide to fit. If you tried a different cable and tried different USB ports on the Xbox or connected it to a computer, then I'd say your controller is probably dead.

@@Jay55273 no problem. There have been some weird issues caused by bad cables. Trying a different cable would be my only other suggestion.

@@ragsa789 You may want check the GameSir Nexus app to see if the trigger vibration got turned off somehow.... You could try a manual calibration (there is a tutorial video on my channel)... Other than that, if this started after an update, my next advice would be to go on the troubleshooting section of GameSir's Discord and ask for the downgrade file and instructions for the firmware version that last worked for you. The Discord responses are very slow, it could take many days to get a response from them.

@@ragsa789 Yes, it works on Xbox One. Just open up the door and search for GameSir Nexus and it should pop-up. I have the GameSir G7 SE, which is basically the same as the G7, but with hall effect sticks. I haven't used the Kaleid, but I didn't think the vibration on the G7 series is horrible or great, it's just meh.
