i never actually played gears of war 3 but this looks amazing and the graphics blow xbox one graphics away they really fucked up with the xbox one .even xbone games look very dark and shaded where they have put a filter over to get more frames .how is it that a machine made yrs ago is more powerful than a so called next gen console .fuck microsoft for fucking up a good machine .

This right here is COMFORT FOOD GAMING. You can still play this game for multiplayer in offline mode with bots on highest difficulty. I have all the Gears of War games after this one (Judgement, 4 & 5) and yet I still return to 3 because it's the most fun and epic to play.

I usually hate sci-fi, futuristic games, but i got this today just because I havent gotten any new games to play in awhile and wow it is awesome. The gameplay is so epic and never boring at all like other shooters ive played. 11/10 for me.

Well on amazon you can read some of the book but not the entire book. I bought the first book on amazon. After I finish it then i'll go to the second, third, etc.

@dzilla1991 I like watching my DVD's on it too. I've never really considered Blu-Ray since they're a bit more expensive than DVD's. In answer to your original question, GOW3 is about a 10 hour campaign, co-op, a long ranking system, horde, beast, arcade campaign, and modifiers (like a laugh track, infinite ammo). This game will really keep you busy.

@Rayman408 You can also take Locusts and use them as meat shields, jump from behind cover to kick an advancing enemy and tag Locust Meat Shields with grenades and kick them back at their friends to watch them explode. Just because they stuck with a basic formula doesn't mean you need to. There are other ways to play this game...

There are 5 Books. Goes in order by 1) Gears of War: Aspho Fields 2) Gears of War: Jacinto's Remnant 3) Gears of War: Anvil Gate 4) Gears of War: Coalition's End 5) Gears of War: The Slab. You should read them if your a real gears fan. Got mine on amazon

This was such a big game in my teenage years. I remember playing this on Xbox live with friends and strangers for years. The graphics were mind blowing for the time and tbh stand up pretty well in 2023. Like a loser I used to come back to this video to defend the game against all the PlayStation fanboys in this comment section claiming resistance and uncharted were better third person shooters. Good times.

If you're talking about campaign, you might want to try the other two out first. Not because your missing too much if you don't but mainly because you get a better attachment to the characters, story, and war in general if you play them first. If you're just going in for multiplayer, just jump in to Gears 3. Gears 3 is pretty well polished while the other two still have some bugs and annoyances in them that'll piss you off.

@Ray...right, like maybe spend ten minutes climbing a wall or 20 minutes directing light rays...0_o...It's a third person SHOOTER. EVERY game is repetitive and after 1 or 2 hours on any game, you will have seen everything that game has to offer. Gears is 4 person co-op...with 4 friends, it has a lot to offer. Horde/beast mode also add a lot to the equation as does multi-player. If Gears was only about the single player, I don't think I would classify Gears 3 as the best in the series.
