@NerdySabbath I don't know how to comment back with the new layout, so I hope this works. I'm not interested in eye candy when watching video game reviews on KZbin, in fact, I'm interested in quite the opposite. When did I make the remark that she is 'sickening'? I said I have absolutely nothing against transgender people, I simply pointed out that someone who does a video review should be pleasing to LISTEN to. She is a good reviewer, but I don't feel as if she is right for the job because I can't stand her voice.

While all the reviews I've seen are generally very positive, I still feel like this game isn't getting en enough love. It's fucking incredible. From the moment I started playing I basically couldn't stop. Just completely immerses you in a world.

Exactly. So if dead space 1 was actually the sequel, we'd all be saying it wasn't as scary. Bottom line is, dead space games are certainly very creepy and atmospheric, but I think you only get that TRUE scare factor the first time around. With the sequels, it's mostly just some jump scares here and there to keep you on edge.

If dead space 2 was dead space 1, it'd be terrifying. What I mean by that is if dead space 2 was the original game. The only reason it's not as scary is because it's familiar. Dead space 2 IS scary, and IS gory and sadistic as fuck, but I think people just knew what to expect so they weren't as scared.

Or maybe she's just a masculine female or, hell, he/she could even be a guy in the midst of a genderchange. Either way, does it really matter? @tofuntomiss Imagine if in dead space 2 they gave Isaac more Melee capabilities along with new weapons....A slasher is about to slash you, you press 'A' or 'X' (depending on system) and Isaac counters and rips off the blade and impales it through their thigh so they are more prone to limping, then the player gets to decide whether to stomp finish or leave the nercromorph there to suffer.

Lol, I concur. When I was about 12-13 years old I came home from school one day and told my mom, I wish I could be as stupid as everyone else. For one thing you don't know if dead space 3 will be scary or not if you don't play it. Secondly by now you're used to it if you played the first two games, and if you're like me you're getting the game so you can blow up space stations and dismember necromorphs. Yes dead space is a horror genre but I love it for the freaky zombie creatures and the ratchet and clank style guns. Not getting a game because something you've seen before won't scare you as much as the first time is just plain stupid.

I disagree. The first one, you have a feeling of isolation and true terror since there is no one to help you. The second one reflected some of that concept but focused more on action scenes. (props for 2 for an in depth look into the Unitoligy church) But 3, was almost all action, 1/2 the space, no isolation, and wide open environments. Was not a fan of the upgrade system though

Idk, I just am nostalgic of the Ishimura. I remember the comics, andimated series and Wii game that hyped me up to play the first one and see how things played out. I like how 2 brought you back to the Ishimura and how the space station felt like the first one with tight corridors and a sense of whats going to pop out of any door. 3 was disappointing, Popping out of the snow was a little clichéd but the part while your in space was enjoyable.
