Well, regarding the Brazilian mission, also in AC2 and sequels the Italian accent was ridiculous. For the assets they probably tacked the thing on, I'm not playing this, but I guess this is a "filler" mission so they didn't spend too much time on it and maybe even reused some assets from other games to cut down dev time.
