Yeah I was the one that submitted the McDonald's story. Store Manager was so passed she physically ran after their far to chase them off the parking lot. Solution : Call the health department. Restaurants aren't the only places that be shut down for infestations like that. It's the sole reason tech shops refuse said equipment to begin with. It's a serious health code violation. Then they'll have the choice of refusing the consoles and calling an exterminator or not having a store to make money with. I had it happen with a Radio Shack back when they were a thing. Someone called the cops on me because I stripped down to my underwear outside the store door to make sure I didn't have any coming with. When I explained to the cop that the store was infested he walked in to verify. Didn't even take long. As soon as he walked in he saw some running around. Told everyone to get out of the store and from there I don't know what happened. I left. It's sad when management makes poor decisions like that. Especially in a place where kids will touch everything and eventually put their fingers in their mouth.

I was in GM training at McDonalds for my organization. Then I got a new supervisor who said she didn't think I was competent. When trying to uphold policy and warn another manager that was supposed to be under me that they were violating policy (doing my job) I was penalized. This manager then made sure that her girlfriend, her other friend and another crew member would constantly call out for my shifts. It actually wound up resulting in me having no one for a shift. We aren't supposed to operate the restaurant with less than 3 people in present. I didn't leave, I sold drinks and waiting until I could get 3 people in the store. For following policy again, I was suspended and then kicked out of the GM program. I was moved to a different store where my supervisor's daughter was the gm and the people manager (like an HR person at restaurant level) was her granddaughter. I wound up having emergency gall bladder surgery. I couldn't lift more than 5 lbs. They made sure a truck came for delivery and I had no one to help me unload it, twice in the same weak. I reinjured myself as a result of having to unload the truck. I'm also asthmatic and diabetic and that makes me high risk for C-virus. Two employees were exposed that I had direct contact with and they did not tell me. Injury due to their ineptitude, punished for following policy, buried in nepotism, basically forced out the door. Now they want to fight my unemployment claim.

What is it about game consoles that attract so many roaches? Also, McDonald's has always been a shitty place to work, but the cheese guy was in the right. He shouldn't have been screaming or cursing, but if I get something that is standard at other McDonald's and suddenly one store arbitrarily decides not to include an ingredient and not inform customers upon their order, I would be upset too. I would demand the cheese be added or my money back, but either way my time would be wasted. And sorry, spilling a drink whether by accident or on purpose on a floor that's going to be mopped five times during the day anyway is not in any way vandalism. I bet the cop just laughed at that butthurt manager.

@doodoostickstain4 жыл бұрын
haha wooooow is this really how you think? that by not informing them of the cheese tax, it's ok to lose your dignity and present yourself in such a childish way? and since the floor is going to get dirty anyway, he really didn't do anything wrong? you must embarrass yourself a LOT, and be completely unaware! lmao you expect them to inform every single person about variations on their menu? that's impossible. and in all honesty, i've never been to a mcdonald's that includes cheese, and was surprised to find this out. also, you don't know what vandalism is, and yes, cops do take this kind of crap seriously, because they have to put up with jerks ALL the time on the job, so it's definitely personally taken. had the cops called on me (as a worker, by some entitled woman who was angry i asked her to vacate my drive-thru she was sitting in just eating ice cream)....and they ended up threatening to arrest her for disturbance of the peace and harassment (of me) if she didn't leave right now. she was PISSED lmao she legit thought they were gonna arrest me! Definition of vandalism : willful or malicious destruction or *defacement of public or private property* Definition of deface transitive verb 1: to mar the appearance of : injure by effacing significant details
@doodoostickstain4 жыл бұрын
for anyone who actually believes this is ok, consider this: what would happen if you went into a police station and performed the same action? would you do it if you felt the cops were unhelpful? I can't expect it would turn out well for you, and quite frankly there's probably one person in the kitchen just looking for an excuse to get fired. I've seen other customers go completely mental on other customers for being ill-mannered. one time one defended me because this abusive lady would not let up, and so he told her off for me lmao she was SO mad..and when she threatened him he was like "pft i don't work here ya moron, i can say whatever i want." and when she looked at me i told her i couldn't really do anything about it either, as he is also a customer. then he held her up in line deliberately until she was almost in tears of frustration (don't feel bad for her. she was clearly getting her rocks off on humiliating a young man in public who can't do anything about it without affecting his finances)
@fergalstackstreams4 жыл бұрын
@@doodoostickstain Perfect username for you, but you should never use your real name online. I said in my original post that the guy shouldn't have acted like a jerk. Try reading the entire post next time. And no, a cop isn't going to do anything because somebody spilled a drink. Especially since there's no way the employees can prove that it was on purpose. Calling the police over that after the guy already left anyway is wasting their time, and I guarantee I know a lot more cops than you do, and they would not appreciate that. But regardless of how he acted, yes, this guy DID have a legitimate complaint. He was not informed of a menu change that is standard everywhere else, and had the right to be upset and either get what he ordered or his money back if he wanted it. Yes, the store is responsible for notifying customers of these changes whether by telling them or posting some kind of sign. Even franchises have to abide by the rules of their corporate overlords. And so you don't miss it this time, NO HE SHOULD NOT HAVE SCREAMED AND CURSED ABOUT IT. The conflict was caused by the store through their negligence, incompetence, and greed. There's no reason to charge extra for a standard ingredient available everywhere else unless you're doing it to squeeze customers. And not making customers aware is doing your job poorly.
@fergalstackstreams4 жыл бұрын

I wish, he prob just did it to be funny but I do agree that would be awesome if he was. Either way I thank him for making that comment!
