It also adds to Regrator's (who is the richest among the Harbingers and is responsible for their country's economy) lore in one of the pale flame set. One of his goals is to make Snezhnaya the "beating heart" of mora in all of Teyvat so that once he accomplishes that, he can singlehandedly destroy it in the blink of an eye if he ever decides to silence said "heart beat".

Tsaritsa will probably just replace him as the money printer, making the entire theory moot. Regardless of it's importance, it's a really disappointing choice on Matpat's part given how deep the lore is and how interesting the main storyline is. There are countless interesting thing to talk about and he chose the one that nobody cares about.

Making ridiculous points by applying real world science video game mechanics/rules was what the channel has been about from day one. Yes, there's a sizeable audience who are here for lore nowadays, a phase of the brand that really gained popularity through FNAF, but there's still people here for the science- and economics-based theories. I think this was a splendid video, as I honestly believe Mat often drops the ball in regards to lore theories. That, and everyone can do lore on a game they're invested in. The scientific/economic content is something not everyone can/want to produce.

@@theuone8828 it's because ley lines or domains are risky and commoners can't fight them so the entire currency supply of the world will be in the hands of adventurers and/or treasure horders or some other organisation and it's obvious that any organisation made by mortals will be at the very least a little corrupt . then the only way to achieve a peaceful way of getting mora would be adepti and/or the other archons joining together which will be impossible in the near future and i also think the resin recharge is buffed for the player since even if only vision holders have resin lore wise [ not gameplay wise ] the are many npc vision holders that would still mean lore wise many adventurers and/or treasure horders and/or fatui have vision and thus domains and ley lines should be on a constant purge so i think their [ npc ] resin replenishes depending upon their life style [ resin description says it is absorbed from the surroundings ] so it might take them a few days or even weeks just to get a few resin . TL:DR SO IN GENERAL LEY LINES ARE NOT A RELIABLE AND A SAFE SOURCE OF MONEY

Nah, the Liyue Qixing will just start issuing and backing the first fiat currency, using their official status of the successor of Morax for its marketing. Meanwhile, Snezhnaya will be the new producer of alchemical conduits to replace mora and military tech in general. In fact, it already is, and is seeking outside markets (even if mostly for testing and manipulation purposes for now).

Mora is a terrible currency precisely because it can be used as a material, adopting something exclusively for monetary use and that was deflationary (do not increase your monetary base) would be a good thing, and not as matt says that deflation is always bad and caused the crisis of 29 (which has to do with interest rate manipulation)

So I’ve had all sort of theories about this; I feel like with the direction we’re headed, we’re probably going to confront the Tsaritsa eventually, and maybe get Zhongli’s Gnosis back, along with Venti’s. And while we know very little about how Gnosis are bestowed, we do know that Archons can be replaced, because Rex Lapis and Barbatos are often referred to as the last of the original 7 archons. So for all we know, a new Geo Archon could be chosen and could avert the incoming mora crisis. Idk, I just think with all the other plot points, it would be wild for Hoyo-verse to add “total economic collapse” on top of everything. 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

It is possible in terms of the story that the Ley Lines are only where the enemy creatures gather because of the imbalance of elemental energy and in these yellow ones they just happen to be treasure hoarding types. So it could just be we're taking Mora that they pillaged and no Mora is actually being produced.

My theory about Mora is that since Zhongli needs the Gnosis to make it and the Gnosis comes from Celestia Zhongli wanted to force humanity away from relying on anything related to Celestia. If you know the theories about Celestia it is meant to suppress humanity. So to truly help and uplift them Zhongli would want to push them into making their own brand of Mora or maybe another catalyst. And judging from his statements that MatPat shows in the video he's confident they can do it.

But isn't that also tied to this theory? Since mora is a catalist, some part of it still gets absorbed by the environment during reaction, just like energy. So, it could be that nature absorbes micro geo particles and they travel through the ecosystem of trees, until they get stuck somewhere and begin to get stored there. Think of it like of a blood clot in our bodies

this makes me think that the system of harvesting world bosses, domains, and especially yellow leylines is basically refunding or rolling back everything owned by the monsters defeated. from the mora within their personal level - to the mora within the level of their weapons and accessories. that's why everything dropped from them is level 1 because it was rolled back to level 1 and the mora returned. the only thing is, though mora is extracted, the level is no longer refunded into exp books. assuming a 100% refund system, the world can still thrive, only in a finite amount of resources. a finite maximum potential to be collected

@@sidousri9319 actually, in Zhongli’s stories he says something along the lines of “Gods never truly die, their physical forms are just destroyed.”, meaning that Guizhong *could* possibly be revived somehow, just like Osial (the ocean god we fought). It wouldn’t even be that hard, considering that Childe and the fatui were able to do it with just sigils of permission.
