I honestly can't wait to unlock the roster. It'll feel like you're playing Smash 64 and slowly but surely adding every single character, evolving from one game to the next, until we get to Ultimate!! It's a very creative way to do a fighting game and I'm super excited

The Messenger it won't happen. So far, the smash Wii u was 15.6 gigs, while ultimate will be around 16. So it's doubtful.

Unlocking 80-90% of the roster is cool with me. That means there's more replayability in this game than all the others. That also means there's more fun ways to keep you occupied to want to keep unlocking all the characters and goodies than just classic mode and events.

Yep, That's me I actually submitted a vote for the Monster Hunter in the Smash Ballot. I always imagined the Hunter's different attacks would use different weapons, similar to what the Inkling does. Greatsword charge for forward smash, dual blades Demon Dance for rapid jab, insect glaive vault for up special, etc.

Lol the Lightning Chariot is a lot better than the Three Sacred Treasures While, of course, it's basically Dragoon, it's a more deadly and effective Final Smash then the Three Sacred Treasures as Three Sacred Treasures is easy to dodge

I'm afraid how good Marth will be in Smash Ultimate. He was already good in Smash Wii U and now he has even less landing lag and his side B is much faster. I can imagine a Marth player just throwing out the first attack of side B and go straight into neutral B for the world's easiest shield break, taunting you afterwords, and take your stock at 50% or earlier.

Mr. Dream Bro in Smash 4 his shield break can break your shield if it's half charge and you don't see a lot of Marths throwing that out unless its for pressuring

Lightning6475 I was saying since his side B is faster and there's more shield stun when you block an attack, Marth can just throw out the first hit of side B stupidly fast and if he sees you blocked it he can go into neutral B when you're stuck in shield stun and break your shield easily.

I really wish that they used the Friend Heart instead of the Ultra Sword, don't get me wrong, it is an awesome Final Smash, but the Friend Heart would've been better mechanically. Yes, I know, the game was probably being developed at a time when Star Allies wasn't announced, but still, they had so many more months to change it. Here's how I think it would work: If Kirby successfully gets someone with his Final Smash, he would then throw the Friend Heart, which would stun the player(s) he caught, then, the Friend Heart would posses the player(s), leading to them coming towards Kirby, where he would then unleash an endless barrage of attacks, including the Super Abilities. I know that it sounds like I'm being picky, but I really feel like they could've done better with Kirby's Final Smash.

While I agree that Zero also should've been there, I still hold true to my opinion that Bass and Protoman ARE Mega Legends, and your basic description of them doesn't do them any justice in my book. And even besides that, the fact that the devs put them in there because they knew a lot of people really liked those two characters automatically renders the complaint invalid, because why would you not appreciate fanservice of this calibur regardless of whether or not it "fits" with the title? But hey, that's just me.

Pit's final smash is cool. I really liked the levels where you use the Chariot. And now Dark Pit's final smash is most likely the only one of it's kind. Sheik has a new one that was shown off at a mini tournament, it's similar to Greninja's... Kinda. It was hard to see due to the camera lol

With the roster starting with the original characters I got the craziest idea. What if when you decide to play Classic mode, you get to play through it in the layout of the original Super Smash Bros like starting off with Link, Yoshi team and ect. As you unlock more characters and stages you will be given the option to play through Classic mode in a melee layout and you continue to unlock other classic modes depending on the amount of characters you have available.

Looks like Kirby's dash attack changed back from Break Spin to Burning! Honestly though, I'm still happy about Ultra Sword being his Final Smash; it's one of Kirby's strongest abilities in general, and just looks so friggin' cool, especially when he used it against Magolor in the game of origin!

At least in the E3 demo, Kirby's ink is always orange (same as the default Inkling costume). Unsure if that might change in the final version.

I hope that depending on your progress of unclocking the characters it will switch to the specific menu from the games. Like if you have all the characters from melee it will look like the melee menu

So guys, let's do the math. We know that as of right now, there will be 65 characters in SSBU. So far, 14 characters have been given blogspots (being 3, 3, 4, and 4 at a time), and there are 20 weeks left. Which means that if Sakurai keeps up the pace that he's been doing with character blogspots, (14 characters every 4 weeks) then we should expect a total roster of 84 characters! Haha, when I see it here, that seems like way too high of a number. But think about it, even with an average of 3 a week, that's 72 characters, aka 7 new characters from now until release. It's something to think about!

If you're wondering, I think you're right about Kirby being larger. I saw a Nintendo post discussing how in the modern games, Kirby's body is slightly smaller, compared to older games like Super Star and Dreamland 1.

I personally love unlocking things. The fact that pretty much every character is unlockable was music to my ears. Buying a game that has everything unlocked already is like buying a game that's already done. So this much unlocking is perfectly fine to me.
