I remember getting sonic superstars thinking that the acrilic stand was going to come at a different time. It didn't come but on my birthday I decided I was gonna buy mario wonder and little did you know the GameStop I went too had a bunch of those stands. The lady up front assumed I might be a sonic fan and handed me the stand for free sense they had a lot. Despite the acrilic stand being in side a small plastic bag the acrilic stand was really scratched, I also expected it to be bigger but I liked it alot at the time.

It's probably not scratched. Most acrylic stands have a protective plastic film that is removable.

I'm not sure if this is done nationwide, but in cases like this, my Gamestops would hand em out if you kept your receipt and showed it to em after they received the preorder bonuses.

I can only speak from my own experiences in the US but I definitely got t-shirts with my pre-orders of Sonic Heroes and Sonic Riders at GameStop. The Heroes shirt was white and featured Team Sonic and the logo. The Riders shirt was gray with Riders Sonic on the front and the logo on the back at the bottom of the shirt. Really slick. I still have them somewhere!

I didn’t have a console even after I bought it on Steam so at the time I pre-ordered the PS5 version of Superstars as a gift for my nephew so I could get the acrylic stand and luckily my GameStop did end up getting it, just had to wait a few days after its release. I did end up getting it physically for myself on Switch. So yes I bought Superstars 3 times.

Sonic x Shadow Generations was a frustrating case for me because I already had mine pre-ordered for the skins and Dr. Gerald Robotnik's journal, but then suddenly out of nowhere, Limited Run Games decides to have a major pre-order edition that came with several collectables including statues of Sonic, Shadow and Chao, a CD of the soundtrack, etc. It was around $300 dollars and could only be purchased within a short period between August and September. There was no way I could afford this in time, so I just stuck with my original pre-order. I thought Gerald Robotnik's journal would at least still be amazing since it would be like having something straight out of the games. I was imagining how cool it would look displayed on one of my Sonic shelves. I expected it to be a hard cover, or at the very least, the same size as the artbooks Sonic Mania Plus and Sonic Origins Plus came with. Little did I know, that parody commercial was misleading. When my copy came, I thought the journal was missing at first because I was only seeing the game in package, but then when I opened the case and took the papers with the codes for the skins out, it turned out I did get it, it was just a tiny little booklet. I mean I still like that we have a full version of Gerald Robotnik's journal that we can read now both digitally and physically. The size and cheap quality of the physical version just feels like a let-down for collectors.

What annoys me the most in the currently DLC for Sonic is the registering to Sega I am still wanting for my PS4 and Switch codes, what annoys and confuses me more is that you can buy the Sonic Jam DLC on steam, why Sega just didn't bother to just put the DLC on the Nintendo eshop, Microsoft store and Playstation is beyond my understanding ! Also why do we have to register to get Soap shoes for Sonic Frontiers and Modern Amy outfit for Sonic Superstars, put the DLC code with the game or just sell it Sega !

For the fortunate souls who have other consoles at their disposal and don't know this if you pre-ordered Sonic frontiers from GameStop for the Nintendo switch they don't give you a plastic insert or anything to put in the disc case to hold your switch game instead they just give you the disc case now it looks really good but how am I going to hold Sonic frontiers for the switch in a disk case? Anyway it now sits pretty on my shelf holding my soul copy of Wii sports.
