I was very confused at how a crew of pirates was supposed to fit inside the mech, as it didn't look nearly big enough to be a drop ship, but the reveal that they simply hang onto the outside while cruising through the upper atmosphere and simply slam into the target at full speed was incredible. I always love the junkier side of sci-fi stories, about the people dealing with the scraps of the high tech machinery left behind by the elite and making unreliable death traps out of it.

really love this! Im actually a huge fan of this challenge saying 'no prints' because I love to see the creativity when it comes to kitbashing. I find so many channels do 3d prints now and I'm not as interested. That's a huge reason I love your channel because it's so fun to see your process and how things come together. There's some 3d printed parts but it enhances the build instead of being the focus. Either way, Im really excited to see the completion of the book, thats a huge undertaking!!

Yeah, I agree that kit bashing is a lot more fun to watch than 3D modeling. Usually I will kit bash as much as I can, and then model a few details, so this was a real challenge, but I learned a few techniques along the way so that was great!

Ooof that letter. I was thinking it was odd that the guy kept going on technical tangents, and describing so many ways he could die. I was thinking it's just a horrible letter to send to a worried mother. But then the twist at the end! His ramblings could be explained as procrastinating on how to tell her, and the descriptions of death become explanations on why she received the letter, so she would know how he likely died.

I use those super thin tips on my super glue bottles too. I love that you don’t have to put the top back on because the tip is so small that it doesn’t really plug up. (The glue just drips back into the bottle.) And…..if it does plug the tip you just snip off a little bit and carry on.

OK, here's a big info dump for you - Tamiya make a powered drill for drilling small holes in plastic. It's actually a kit you build yourself and quite fun to make. It will save your hands from the pin vice pain. Cosclay is an oven cured clay but it's flexible when cured. Great for batch making ribbed cables as they can be cut and posed later. New bits? Warhammer bits can be bought in bulk for reasonable prices and make great greeblies. I'd totally buy a signed hard back of your book but I'd also buy prints of your concept sketches. Even post card sized versions would be great. Keep up the good work! Love your videos.

I'll definitely look into that powered drill. Super tired of the pin vise! I've never used cosclay, but I like that I don't have to bake green stuff, so I can apply it and let it harden on its own. I like the idea that an historian bot who has been traveling throughout Aegis since the start of the blight and documenting all the bots and people he finds along the way. And they release diary or log entries that is disseminated through an underground publication group, kind of like some of the unofficial fan magazines and comics of the 80's and 90's or those subscription magazines you could get that would let you build a model over the course of a year bit by bit like Real Robots one.

Fantastic work! In terms of new bits for kitbashing, I'd recommend tank kits, since the angular, armoured aesthetic is very different to the swoopy, aerodynamic style of gundam and plane kits. They also give you a lot of variety to work with considering the wide range of historical tanks, not to mention sci-fi options as well.
