I was researching a few laptops up to 2k, this was one of them. I was looking for a AMD (7735hs or 7940hs) with a 4080, but couldn't find one. So I think I'll go for this one in your video as it fits the budget. Just a quick correction, this laptop does support 2 m.2 nvme's 2280 , the other m.2 slot is on the left of the wireless card and nvme will be on top of wireless card. FYI from what I could find the RAM can only be upgraded to 32gb, but on the Crucial website says 64gb.

@reshapemcdesign I looked at pretty much every 4080 laptop, Asus, Msi, Acer and Gigabyte. I didn't find any Lenovo with a 4080 only with a 4070 or 4060. I did look at 4090 laptop as I found a Msi one at 3k just before Christmas, and I decided that was too much to spend as I game mostly on my desktop with a 3090ti. If you're looking for a 4080 laptop under 2k, Asus Strix ROG G16 is the only one I've seen at this price point. How much are you seeing the Lenovo ones? I was seeing one at over 2k with a 4070.

I have the i913980 and the 4090 Scar 16. Plays anything max settings with Ray and path tracing and everything sits at around 90 to 100+fps at all times. The machines are beasts. I actually traded in my new i9 4070 rog Strix for the scar. Difference is night and day.

As cool as this is, I couldn't imagine paying 2 thousand dollars for slightly better then 60FPS native 1080p gaming. Excluding E sport titles of course. At these price points, even on the higher end 3 thousand dollar version, I'm baffled they aren't adding OLED panels across the board. Great video though, but I'd rather my 2 thousand dollar desktop over this, and spend a few hundred on a steam deck for portable if I needed portable that much. Oh, it’s an improvement. Max settings on Roblox, unplugged, high graphic game and fps capped at 1000 fps - 697 average frames per second. It’s good. I had a slightly different model, but it’s amazing.😊

The G16 is not the same as the Scar 16 its not just the resolution thats different its different tech like Mini led thats a huge difference in how the monitor looks. The scar 16 loooks way better especially in person.

they dont run much at idle. have to play a game to get them going. but its better to put up with some fan noise as you are coolin your machine to actually keep them performing. plus for movies its quiet and noisy only for games for which we wear headphones anyway

I have this thing. Plastic is crazy attraxted to my finger prints. And dolby vision only works with native colors set in armor crate hdr is less bright then sdr. Wish the good things were more easy to get to like a TV which switch over automatically and shows you color codec your watching.

legion pro 5. 4070 ryzen 7745 hx 32gb 5400 mhz 16:10 1600p got it for 1500 USD after taxes. got such a good sale. I was looking at the 4080's and its basically another 500-700 USD to upgrade to a 4080. just couldn't justify it

I just bought the lenovo legion slim 5 with a 4070 in it, and a ryzen 7480? Core. I am thinking about sending it back and buying this laptop with a 4080 and the intel 7 (13th gen). It is only 300-400 euro's more. Is that worth it?

If you can get the 4080 for 400eur more do it. I chose the 4070 because of a 1200eur price difference. The 4080 is about 40% better, comparable with the 4070ti on desktop pc.

Check out the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4080 16GB Trinity OC white edition, they're well priced in most countries, up to a 5 year warranty (once registered on their site within 28 days of purchase) and it looks cool too. You can get a better price on a 4080 when the super's are due to be released. I managed to get my Zotac 3090ti for under £1000 in the UK, just when the 4090 was soon to be released last year

i got the g16 with 4060, its simply great. the only SMALL issue is that it goes 80+ degrees on some games on performance mode, but i can just enable turbo and stay at 75 but i dont really want to keep it always on turbo fan mode cuz i dont know if its safe. thoughts?

No it won't, the GPU power limit is set by Nvidia, most laptops have a big enough charger to go up to 140w anyway.

How well will it play Cyberpunk?

It plays Cyberpunk very well. You can even play with path tracing on at 1440p with DLSS quality and frame gen - if you are using the controller, you will not notice any latency. But it is best at 1440p and ray tracing ultra. There you can get an average of about 120 fps with DLSS quality and frame gen on and it is smooth as butter.
