It sounds like a turf war between drug dealers. I dont see records of higher gun violence near the other hookah lounges in the city. They are historically located in rougher areas but correlation is not causation.

@@jakeburns6566 for some context I used to be a chauffeur and I have driven professional athletes to that lounge, at 2 o’clock in the morning I believe. Looked over at the other chauffeur and I asked him if he felt comfortable with the people we saw walking around. His reply was no, not at all. Our mutual decision was to keep our doors locked and vehicles positioned in case our clients need to leave in a hurry. It was as much fun as being at the concert after party with a band at neumos on Capitol Hill from 1am to 4:30 am. Honestly glad I don’t do that anymore.
