If this story came out in 2015, it would be believable because Gamestop's retro game trade-in program would've just begun. Gamestop was notorious for not testing the retro games they got in at the time, so there you go.

Basically every game they get, they don't seem to test. They do test consoles reliably though. And if your used game doesn't work, you can exchange it for a working copy or a refund. It's pretty annoying though, having to go back.

The moral, if you can call it that, spells out that despite his enormous success as a Pokemon trainer in life, death still came for “…” in the end, same as it comes for all of us. Worse, “…” seemingly died nameless, alone, and forgotten. There is also a Lost Silver Hidden game that lets the player attempt to change “…”’s fate at a critical junction. If the player manages to initiate the change, “…” goes on a short journey that involves meeting more haunted trainers, and Pokemon and non-player characters that lack eyeballs. The death of “…” is still inevitable, but the final message is “RIP Pokemon Trainer Gold,” as opposed to “RIP …”, which indicates that the mysterious trainer at least gained an identity before he passed away.

+TheAlmightyBassist It's not so much a hidden game/version as it is a hidden path that was included in a later version of Lost Silver. Basically you have to repeatedly answer no instead of yes when the sign asks you to turn back now. This would allow you to take a slight detour and see some extra scenes before the ending. The ending stays mostly the same in this hidden path, though the few extra scenes are interesting enough to give it a try.

Had it ever since high school, back in 2009, when I was around 15-16, woke up in the hospital, struggling to get out of the hospital bed, pretty creepy. Had no Idea where I even was. They said I had epilepsy, but some other kind, triggered by something else, like not eating or something else, I even had a test, with the hospital using flashing lights, and they said I didn't have "that" kind of epilepsy; but some type of it caused by something like not eating or something else.But it's ok, we won't let flash kill anyone else. They'll see, we're not letting flash get away with this. Whether it's the HM or The Flash, himself. Although, I do like The Flash though; but my favorite DC superhero is Batman, sorry for rambling though.

I swear this is a true story. When I was in high school I once found a Pokemon blue cartridge in my backpack. The trainer's name was "Joe" (my real name) and it had been beaten with all 151 Pokemon and all 8 badges. I never found out where that game came from. It was just in my backpack. I don't know who would have slipped it in there or why but the "Joe" thing makes me think someone was trying to play a joke on me. Don't know what the point was though. I got a free copy of blue and that's it.

This one is more tolerable than the other creepypastas I've ever heard, but it also doesn'tsound plausible due to if I saw all that weird shit happening in the game, I would just turn it off and think "Whoever made this is fucked up and need help." Around that time, my Gamestop did have GB games so it would've been possible to get it. Not much GB games, BUT Gamestop did like to sell a lot of the old used PKMN games because they knew people wanted them.

I used to be a gm at gamestop. My underlings were supposed to get 2 game reserves/2 game informer subs that come with a 15% off used game and trade ins. Sorry for the late post, but in my opinion used games is not hurting the game industry. People have and will be trading their games in order to get newer games. The used game market stimulates the new game market. Also, some people buy a game used so they can test the water for a certain series or franchise. For example, I purchased Uncharted 2 used for $33. I loved Uncharted 2 so much that I went and purchased Uncharted 3 collector's edition day one. I think online passes and DRM hurts gaming.

Last night I had a nightmare. I know it's not a creepypasta but it's so scary it felt like one. I was playing Sapphire and I was in my PC box, and I had some shiny Pokemon and I was looking back and forth through their summaries, and then I heard a very distorted noise in my game, even when I turned the volume all the way down. Then when I left the Pokemon center I ended up in a cave that I can't escape. Ever.

Cool, but in the lost silver rom we can download there is a second part in which you have to answer No to that sign that tells you to turn back, I think you have to answer No like 5 times and then you will be teleported to the other part of the story which is a little more exciting but leads to a similar ending. I didn't play it, but I saw a let's play of this version by JWittz and he did the two parts but he forgot to see the character option at each part (and that's what the story is about)
