So I think the whole idea behind this story is whenever someone attempts to inflict damage on the cartridge it's transferred to characters within the game or to the player themselves instead. I'm trying to imagine twitchy shooting himself. He ether was holding the gameboy in his hand and shot it, which is what every responsible gun owner does, or he threw it in a room and shot it, again, being a responsible gun owner. In both cases, the bullet somehow ricochet off the walls and got him in the eye, somehow not killing him. It's an interesting thought.
